    Love Today: Relationships, Distance & God’s Timing!

    Pew Research Center: 30% of U.S. adults had used online dating; 53% of adults under 30 had done so, and 10% of partnered adults said they met their current partner through a dating site or app. Pew also found 37% of adults thought dating platforms offer people too many choices. A separate Journal of Communication study found that communication adaptations and self-disclosure can support intimacy in long-distance relationships.     Can We Still Trust What We See Online? AI Deepfakes, Scams, and the New Fight for Digital Truth!

    The major statistics in the episode come from primary or research-based sources. The FBI’s 2025 Internet Crime Report recorded 22,364 AI-related complaints and more than $893 million in associated reported losses; overall cyber-enabled crime produced nearly $21 billion in reported losses. Pew found significant signs of AI authorship in 10% of pages in its July 2026 sample and in more than one-third of sampled pages published after ChatGPT's release, while explicitly noting that AI-detection systems are imperfect.     America Under One Sky: Why the Weather Can Be So Wild!

    The primary research for this episode comes from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL), National Hurricane Center (NHC), and Fifth National Climate Assessment.     Mirthspawn is only a couple of weeks away from launch, and there’s a lot happening behind the scenes. In this episode of Thomas Talks, Thomas gives an update on Mirthspawn, talks about working on three other companies at the same time, and explains why the podcast hasn’t been forgotten—even with everything else demanding his attention. But the main focus of this episode is something bigger: mental health. Backed by current research and statistics from organizations including SAMHSA, the CDC, and the World Health Organization, Thomas talks about the pressure to always appear okay, burnout, entrepreneurship, loneliness, young people’s mental health, the importance of real human connection, and why asking for help shouldn’t be viewed as weakness.     ADHD: The Struggle People Don’t Always See!

    Centers for Disease Control and Prevention — ADHD in Adults: ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder beginning in childhood that often continues into adulthood; adult symptoms may affect work, relationships, daily tasks, and healthy behaviors. National Institute of Mental Health — ADHD: ADHD involves persistent inattention, hyperactivity, and/or impulsivity. Adult difficulties can include organization, procrastination, time management, remembering tasks, following instructions, and completing projects. CDC / National Center for Health Statistics: Based on a 2023 national survey, an estimated 15.5 million U.S. adults—6.0% of adults—reported a current ADHD diagnosis, and 55.9% of those adults reported being diagnosed at age 18 or older. CDC — ADHD in the Classroom: Children with ADHD face more obstacles to school success than the average student, and educational supports may include organizational training, behavioral interventions, IEPs, and Section 504 accommodations. Americans with Disabilities Act / U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission: Disability protections can apply when an impairment substantially limits major life activities including learning, concentrating, thinking, and working. Reasonable workplace accommodations may be available to qualified employees depending on individual circumstances.     Faith, Peace, Love & Strength “Peace Through Strength — But Strength Through Faith!"

Importance of faith: Pew found that about four-in-ten Americans say religion is very important in their lives, while 44% say the Bible is extremely or very important to them. Christian values: Pew found large majorities of Christians consider honesty, kindness, belief in God, a personal relationship with Jesus, and helping those in need important to Christian identity. Religion and American communities: 80% of Americans surveyed said churches and religious organizations bring people together and strengthen community bonds, while 78% said they play an important role in helping the poor and needy. Religious freedom: The First Amendment's religion clauses establish both protection for the free exercise of religion and a restriction against government establishment of religion. Revelation: Revelation 21 presents the Christian hope of a renewed creation and describes a future in which death, mourning, crying and pain are gone. Russia is estimated at approximately 5,420 total. U.S. deployed strategic nuclear warheads: FAS estimates approximately 1,670 U.S. deployed strategic warheads in 2026. Nuclear triad: U.S. strategic nuclear forces consist of land-based ICBMs, submarine-launched ballistic missiles, and nuclear-capable heavy bombers.
