    Breaching: Not So Simple

Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. Sounds simple, right? Bust the door, arrest the guy, then go get breakfast. Well sure, if you want to be a simple-minded bozo. But we don't want that. We want to be badass professionals. Today, let's get into the good, bad and ugly of breaching a structure. The tools, the gear, the methods, the tactics. Think I'm way out in left field? Let me know on "That LEO Guy" FB or IG. Think I'm spot on? Same thing. Got some insight I missed? Hit my DM. Thanks, and for those of you that haven't yet, DECORATE FOR HALLOWEEN! -LEO Support the show Please follow on FB and Substack at links below! Substack contains true stories from my perspective. Virginia Senator Lucas: Arrested

Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. October 22, 2026: Sitting Senator L. Louise Lucas was arrested today for a variety of federal charges, including drug distribution, wire fraud and RICO. She was charged alongside multiple others, including three immediate family members. LEO will go into what these charges mean and the proof necessary for a successful prosecution. The government says she's selling drugs: https://www.justice.gov/usao-edva/pr/virginia-state-senator-indicted-leading-criminal-marijuana-distribution-enterprise Her response: “I’ve seen what happens when people in power try to silence those who stand up to them. I spent my life fighting back, and I’m not stopping now.” This will be an interesting case to follow. Problem Solving Cops vs. Drug Motels & Drunk Kids

Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. Emmitt Smith. Tom Brady. Lionel Messi. What do they all have in common? When life gives them lemons, they make plays. No excuses, just results type of dudes. You can give them an impossible situation, and they come from a mindset of solutions. Uphill battles are the norm, and are nothing more than an opportunity. As a LEO, you can be a playmaker like them. Today I will discuss what this means, and how I have applied playmaking to the law enforcement career field. If you haven't gotten to that unit you want, gotten that promotion, been hired by that agency...maybe it's your mindset. Maybe problems are walls for you instead of defeatable obstacles. Here are a few examples of my obstacles and my "outside the box" solutions. Once you start thinking of yourself as a problem-solving playmaker, you'll overcome everything the streets throw at you. From drug motels to drunk teenagers, we do it all! Tune in! -LEO Support the show Please follow on FB and Substack at links below! Substack contains true stories from my perspective. Understanding the Man

Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. Prior to the release on Questioning Techniques, the interviewer needs to realize that both episodes recently released were not on how to collect information. BUT LEO! HOLD ON! You said an interview is all about collecting information! Thoroughly gathering facts! That's right. But let's not put the cart before the horse. If you skip Planning & Prep and Rapport Building, questioning techniques lose relevance. Be a brilliant questioner with no rapport, and expect a demand for an attorney. Two full episodes on developing an understanding of your suspect tells you a lot - it's the most important part. Gathering info is great, and impossible without a horse to pull that cart. Interview Phase 2: Rapport

Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since the towers fell. It's equally hard to believe that some of my listeners were not born then. Rest in peace to all lost that day and in the years that followed. Let's get into building and maintaining rapport. How to build it and how to not destroy it. What it is, why we need it. Earn their sacrifice, and stay safe! -LEO Support the show Please follow on FB and Substack at links below! Advanced Interviewing: Planning & Preparation

Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. Early on a very basic interviewing episode released. The rules, the basics, Interviewing 101. Let's step it up a bit. I'm going to break the interview process down into multiple parts, starting with planning & preparation. Over the next month, I will cover several interview parts and how I've used them successfully (and unsuccessfully). Today will be a brief introduction and the first half of the most neglected phase of interview. -LEO Support the show Please follow on FB and Substack at links below! Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. The jury in the Lindsay Clancy triple murder trial cannot reach a verdict. Hear from Christy Barker on what that means, how it works and what to expect next! For those that aren't following: Clancy admits to murdering her three young children with an exercise band. Courtroom Tips N Tricks!

Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. I've spent hundreds - no, no, thousands of hours on the stand. I exaggerate not (I think). I've passed whole days on the stand getting examined, then another day on cross. I've made mistakes, and after many years those mistakes have lessened in frequency. State court. Federal court. Jury trials. Suppression hearings. Family court. Juvenile court. Here's a 15-minute trick bag that you can compare to the upcoming release - an interview of a real, live defense attorney! See if what I say matches what he says. Stay cool, -LEO Support the show Please follow on FB and Substack at links below! Substack contains true stories from my perspective. Real Life - Lawsuits, Guns, Drugs and How to Apply the 4th

Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. I've spent countless hours in State, Superior and Federal Court defending my actions. I've been sued (unreasonably, I might add) by a career criminal on Federal Release. I've chased people into houses and been told by judges and lawyers that my actions were not allowed. Today I will go into some of these true stories. Real successes, real mistakes, and most importantly, why? If you don't know the boundaries, you open yourself up to committing criminal and civil violations by mistake against the community you swore to protect. Screw that. Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. True Crime junkies will love this! I'm doing it for police educational purposes, but we will touch some true crime stuff - which I usually don't because it's such an oversaturated area. And because I usually don't care. Let's get into her defense, how she's doing it and what her goals are. -LEO Support the show Please follow on FB and Substack at links below! Substack contains true stories from my perspective. Waco and Ruby Ridge

Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. Todd wasn't at these incidents. However, he worked closely with the men and women that were. He goes into great detail about the cases involving David Koresh and Randy Weaver, what went down, why and how. Todd is the only man I know that has met actual Branch Davidians. If you're getting your hatred for a group of lawmen from Wikipedia / YouTube / TikTok or Netflix, I dare you to fact check your source. If you were wrong, it's OK - you get duped by the media. Relations Between Patrol and Narcs / Feds: How to Avoid Assholery

Please message us! We’ll pin to the episode, and would love a dialogue. Patrol is the backbone of any PD, and the rest of us are SUPPORT! That means...get this...you are not better than a patrol officer because you are narcotics / homicide / state / federal / ANYTHING. You need patrol's support, they need yours. and we're all on the same side. Today, as July wraps up and we get ready for cooler weather and schools to take these heathens back for ~40 hours a week, I will discuss my personal mistakes in managing these relationships. Times my life was endangered by fellow officers and I tried to put property on patrol to log when it was really kinda my responsibility. Don't endanger your partners, do 'em right, we're on the same team. Here's how to put that in action. -LEO Support the show Please follow on FB and Substack at links below!
