058: Consider this BEFORE you go back to an ex (employer)

Would you go back to an ex? Ex-employer that is! Maybe you left on good terms, and left the door open and now the planets have aligned and you have an opportunity to go back. Should you? In this week’s episode Sarah and Emma debate the pros and cons of going back to work for an old employer. We can’t make the decision for you, but we can promise we’ll give you some food for thought and maybe nudge you in the right direction. 🏀 Shoot Your Shot - Jules from London wrote in to tell us that she has been a stay at home mum for a couple of years and wanted to get back into work. She had a few interviews that didn’t go well and didn’t get offers for jobs she was actually overqualified for! She then landed a great interview, and did some quick research and found us. She listened to 3 of our episodes - went in to the interview with a notebook (which she thinks impressed them), and she was asked straight away to go back for a second interview. She said she felt so much more confident, and wanted to thank us. 053: Deconstructing REAL answers to popular job interview questions - Part 2

You guys LOVED our episode where we deconstructed job interview answers, so we’ve brought it back… but with a twist! Because we can’t keep talking about Emma’s real experience, we’re going to give her a fake career background. In this week’s episode, Sarah and Emma role play a job interview for an account manager role in a tech company. You’ll get to hear what works well in the answers, how to strengthen them, and the common mistakes that come up. Want us to role play for your industry? Let us know! 🏀 Shoot Your Shot - Shout out to Sandra! She reached out to let us know that we inspired her to go out of her comfort zone. She put her job search on hold for a few weeks, and then realised she had JUST missed out on the deadline for her dream role, and the recruiter couldn’t help.
