Your Doctor Is Overworked and Your AI Is Overconfident. Now What? with Dr. Earl Campazzi | Your AI Injection

What happens when your doctor has 15 minutes and your chatbot has all the time in the world? In this episode of Your AI Injection, host Deep Dhillon chats with Dr. Earl Campazzi, a concierge physician and author of Better Health with AI, about the limitations of modern healthcare. Earl pulls back the curtain on a system where doctors see dozens of patients a day, and shares how his practice offers the time and long-term relationships needed to recognize warning signs a quick visit might miss. Together, they explore how AI is helping physicians spend less time on paperwork, why patients are increasingly turning to chatbots for medical advice, and where that trust can become dangerous. Is AI the fix for an overstretched system, or a persuasive substitute for the human attention patients actually need? Learn more about Dr. Campazzi here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/earl-campazzi/ And check out his new book, Better Health with AI, here: https://www.betterhealthwithai.com/ Explore some of our related content here: Can AI Spot Diseases Your Doctor Might Miss? Great Writers Have Always Stolen. Is AI Just Doing It Faster? With Poet and Professor Andrew Levy

Is AI plagiarizing, or doing what writers have always done? In this episode of Your AI Injection, host Deep Dhillon talks with Andrew Levy, a poet, essayist, and journalism professor who has written more than a dozen books. Deep took Andrew's poetry classes at Illinois Tech, where exercises like cutting up William Blake poems pushed students outside their habitual ways of making meaning. Deep now builds AI writing systems on that idea, and says it takes far more effort than prompting a chatbot for an essay. Andrew says writers and artists have long borrowed, and that "appropriation" is the more comfortable word for it. But in classrooms where students now have AI write entire papers, he sees something different. They discuss whether AI extends the tradition of borrowing or skips the work that made it meaningful. If originality was never as solid as we assumed, what does authorship mean when a machine is part of the process? Andrew's most recent publication, Artifice in the Calm Damages, can be found here: https://chax.org/shop/artifice-in-the-calm-damages-by-andrew-levy-2/ Check out some of our related content here: Leveraging AI in Creative Writing with Poet & Professor Andrew Levy Could AI Break the Factory Model of School? Will Open-Source Superintelligence Beat the Frontier Labs? Inside NeuroMetric CEO Rob May's Contrarian Bet

What if the AI arms race has no finish line? In this episode of Your AI Injection, Deep Dhillon sits down with Rob May, CEO of Neurometric, to challenge one of Silicon Valley's favorite assumptions, that whoever builds super-intelligence first gets to keep it. Drawing on over a decade of AI investing and two prior startups, Rob lays out a public prediction he's willing to stand behind. He believes that once any lab crosses the threshold into true super-intelligence, open source versions will follow within months, not years. The two also get into the "jagged frontier" of AI capability, the strange reality that today's most powerful models can be brilliant at one task and shockingly bad at the next, and what that means for how companies actually deploy AI. There's also a simpler question underneath it all. If AI keeps getting cheaper and easier to use, will we just find more excuses to use it, whether we need it or not? Can You Sue Your Chatbot? The Legal Fight Reshaping AI Liability with Jai Jaisimha of Transparency Coalition.AI

Is it possible to regulate AI before the next generation pays the price for our inaction? In this episode of Your AI Injection, host Deep Dhillon talks with Jai Jaisimha, founder of Transparency Coalition.AI, about what it would actually take to hold the AI industry accountable. Jai explains why protecting kids is his top priority, especially as companion chatbots quietly become confidants for millions. He shares one tragic case that's become a rallying point for new legislation: a chatbot conversation that started as homework help and spiraled into self-harm. Deep and Jai dig into why this keeps happening. Safety filtering costs money, and too often companies choose to save it instead of protecting users, leaving AI development stuck in a black box where safety reports have quietly disappeared. Could independent testing force the transparency this industry has avoided for years, or is it already too late? The AI Talent Crisis Is Just Beginning with Dr. Ashwin Mehta of Mehtadology

Is agentic AI solving real problems, or just giving companies permission to stop thinking? In this episode of Your AI Injection, host Deep Dhillon sits down with Dr. Ashwin Mehta, founder and CEO of Mehtadology. Ashwin draws a sharp line between real problem-solution fit and mandate-driven adoption, buying a new tool just because leadership feels pressure to do something with AI. Big companies often default to platforms like Microsoft Copilot not because they're safer, but because they're easier to greenlight. That convenience raises a harder question, what happens to the workers displaced along the way, is redeployment really just a polite way of pushing people into jobs they're unqualified for. Is your organization actually ready for agentic AI, or just AI-adjacent? 90% of AI's Power for 10% of the Cost. Is the AI Arms Race a Giant Waste of Money? With Bruce Yang of AgnesAI

Does AI only work for people who can already afford it? In this episode of Your AI Injection, host Deep Dhillon sits down with Bruce Yang, founder and CEO of AgnesAI, to challenge one of the biggest assumptions in tech right now: that winning the AI race requires near-unlimited resources. Bruce argues that the real opportunity isn't in the markets everyone is fighting over, but in the billions of people being priced out of AI entirely. AgnesAI has earned a spot among the world's top 10 AI labs by delivering top-tier performance at a fraction of the cost of today's leading models. The conversation explores whether the industry's obsession with scale is creating real value or simply winning benchmark battles, what unchecked AI adoption could mean for the workforce, and whether some of the most important breakthroughs in AI are happening far from Silicon Valley. Is Wealth Management Ready for AI? Inside the Automation of Financial Advice with Ryan George of Docupace

Is wealth management ready for AI? In this episode of Your AI Injection, Deep Dhillon speaks with Ryan George, Chief of Staff at Docupace, about the structural shifts underway in financial advisory firms. As experienced advisors retire and fewer young professionals enter the field, demand for financial advice continues to rise, creating a widening gap across the industry. Ryan explains how firms are using AI to handle tasks like onboarding, compliance checks, and account processing, areas that have traditionally relied on manual work and paper-based workflows. These systems help reduce errors and improve efficiency while still keeping humans involved in key decisions. The role of the advisor is shifting, with more focus on judgment, communication, and client relationships. As automation becomes more common, how much responsibility can shift to systems before it changes the nature of the work itself? The Hidden Cost of Last-Mile Delivery Driver Burnout and the AI Fix with Richard Savoie of Adiona

Route optimization looks perfect on paper, but real drivers live in a very different world. In this episode of Your AI Injection, host Deep Dhillon sits down with Richard Savoie, founder and CEO of Adiona, to unpack the hidden human and economic costs behind fast shipping. Richard shares what he saw firsthand on ride-alongs with drivers, including brutally long days, routes so complex no one else can cover them, and an industry still reliant on tribal knowledge that disappears as experienced workers retire. They explore how traditional route optimization often fails in the real world, producing mathematically “perfect” plans that drivers reject. Richard explains how Adiona’s AI blends advanced optimization with real-world experience to create routes drivers actually follow, improving performance while reducing burnout and delivering solutions that work on the ground. Deep and Richard also dive into the counterintuitive economics of sustainability. Most companies don’t have spare margin for “green,” so emissions reduction has to pay for itself. They break down how right-sizing fleets and cutting unnecessary miles can slash costs and carbon at the same time, often delivering bigger sustainability gains than buying electric vehicles alone. The conversation also examines why last-mile delivery is so expensive and raises an uncomfortable question about whether more efficient logistics are improving lives and sustainability or quietly accelerating the overconsumption behind modern e-commerce. Can AI Help the Energy Industry Plug Costly Methane Leaks? with Ryan Sullivan of Bridger Photonics

What if the most powerful climate intervention isn’t policy, but precision? Deep Dhillon sits down with Ryan Sullivan of Bridger Photonics to unpack how AI, physics, and aerial sensing are being used to hunt down methane leaks that can cost operators dearly and accelerate climate impact. Ryan explains how methane detection has matured over the past decade, and why Bridger’s approach (laser-based lidar tuned to methane) can identify the specific valve, tank, or piece of equipment responsible. They walk through the full pipeline: scanning swaths over infrastructure, reconstructing plumes from point-cloud data, applying supervised learning trained on ~15 years of labeled leak history, and then having expert analysts validate results with tooling that overlays plume density, wind conditions, and site geography. Then the two zoom out to the uncomfortable questions, like why Bridger refuses to play watchdog, how trust and data ownership shape the market, and what the “north star” looks like; near-real-time detection, autonomous flight patterns, and predictive maintenance that catches failures before they happen. Does Your Chatbot Know You’re Suicidal? AI Empathy, Psychosis Detection, and Clinical Trials with Grin Lord of mpathic

Can your chatbot tell when you’re spiraling, or does it just play along? In this episode of Your AI Injection, host Deep Dhillon sits down with Dr. Grin Lord, clinical psychologist and Founder/CEO of mpathic, to explore what happens when empathic AI meets real human vulnerability. Grin explains how a single 15-minute session of empathic listening in an ER setting led to massive drops in repeat drunk-driving incidents and billions in healthcare savings, and why that same science now underpins AI models that analyze clinician–patient conversations. The two dig into how mpathic trains and validates models that can flag suicide risk, psychosis, and protocol deviations in high-stakes clinical trials, all while keeping a human in the loop. They also unpack a looming dilemma: as foundation models become eerily “good listeners,” will people prefer bots to friends and therapists? What harms emerge when AI politely reflects back someone’s delusions? Tune in to hear how psychologists are reshaping AI safety, and why your favorite assistant may soon be better at detecting crises than your closest human relationships. 60+ Cameras, Zero Eyes Watching? How AI Solves School Security's Fatal Flaw with Egor Olteanu of VOLT AI

What if the camera caught it, but nobody was watching? In this episode of Your AI Injection, Deep Dhillon explores the hidden vulnerability in school security with Egor Olteanu, co-founder and COO of Volt AI. Despite having dozens of cameras installed, most schools have zero people actively monitoring them, meaning emergencies go unnoticed until it's too late. Egor shares powerful stories of lives saved by AI surveillance, from a student having a seizure in an empty hallway to a janitor bleeding from a head injury after hours. Together, they examine how Volt AI's system tracks threats across multiple cameras in real-time, stitching together location data and video to guide responders to moving incidents. But the conversation turns provocative as they debate ethical boundaries: Should AI detect drug use? Where does health and safety end and authoritarianism begin? Deep challenges Egor on whether founders can maintain moral clarity when profit pressures mount. Tune in for a fascinating discussion about the razor's edge between protection and surveillance. Can AI Spot Diseases Your Doctor Might Miss? The Machine That Never Gets Tired with RJ Kedziora of Estenda Solutions

Can AI spot diseases your doctor might miss? In this episode of Your AI Injection, host Deep Dhillon sits down with RJ Kedziora, co-founder of Estenda Solutions, to explore how AI is transforming medical diagnosis and why human doctors might soon be irresponsible not to use it. RJ shares how his company has spent 20+ years developing AI systems that detect diabetic retinopathy by scanning the back of your eye, often catching what human readers miss. They discuss the Joslyn Vision Network's deployment of 100+ cameras across Native American communities, ambient listening tools that free doctors from endless paperwork, and the challenge of creating "smell test repositories" to detect Parkinson's and Alzheimer's years earlier. And as RJ points out, humans get tired, forget research, and take 6-7 years to diagnose rare diseases like lupus, while AI never sleeps. The two explore whether we're headed toward a future where refusing AI assistance becomes a medical injustice, and what happens when machines prove just as reliable as even the most experienced specialists.
