Three Disney Reporters Discussing Food. What Could Possibly Go Wrong!

WARNING: week’s episode will make you laugh out loud at work!!! My colleagues Julie Tremaine and Carly Caramanna came by Very Amusing to discuss their new Unofficial Disney Parks Retro Cookbook and how they created the perfect vintage recipes and stories for any nostalgia-obsessed Disney fan! We’re getting into ALL of it, including: The scientific swing Disney took to make their BBQ sauce! A late-night deep-dive vintage relic that inspired the whole book! The Disney food trend that drives us all up a wall! …and how Julie’s baking may have gotten Bob Gurr to write an intro for the book! The Lucas Museum is Unhinged. (I'm Obsessed With It Anyway)

George Lucas' Narrative Art Museum doesn't just tell stories -- it raises questions

Who knew Universal's New Fast & Furious Coaster would become its most controversial?

In today's fully reported episode, we are diving deep into Universal's new behemoth of a ride— my official review, my advice for when you visit, and what makes this coaster special — while also expanding upon the debate you may have seen online of nearby homeowners' extensive noise complaints. Because...on Tuesday, I had so much fun riding Universal Studios Hollywood's new Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift coaster that I just kept going on, likely giving myself a mild concussion. On Wednesday, I drove to a stranger's house to interview a half-dozen nearby residents about how the coaster — namely its passengers' screams — has significantly impacted their lives. Consider this a 360 degree view (like the rotating vehicles!) of Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift and how one coaster can be so game-changing for this park, so mind-blowing for guests...and so infuriating for locals. Who's right? Who's wrong? And who is this coaster for? All of that…will be answered in this week's episode of Very Amusing. A First-Timer's Guide To Halloween Horror Nights (with Universal's Lora Sauls!)

Too scared to experience Halloween Horror Nights? Never fear!! Lora Sauls (Assistant Director of Creative Development and Show Direction for Art and Design, Entertainment at Universal Orlando Resort) is on Very Amusing this week to share EXACTLY what you need to know if you fear HHN fog. Lora's been working on Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort for almost THIRTY YEARS, which means she knows the event inside and out. (The Queen of Halloween creating the scares and then telling us how to survive them?! ICONIC!!) The thing is, even if you're not a horror fan, Universal's Halloween Horror Nights is basically a temporary theme park with state-of-the-art experiences that you kinda sorta need to see. And if you're too scared, I get it!! But Lora's about to drop some serious knowledge on why it's worth a shot, even if you're a fraidy cat…because she was once one too!!
