Tomasz Kosowski Murder Trial Day 4 | DNA, Blood Evidence & First Cross-Examinations
Day Four of the Tomasz Kosowski murder trial brought some of the strongest forensic testimony yet in the case involving the disappearance and murder of attorney Steven Cozzi. DNA analyst Chad Summerfield testified about evidence linking Cozzi to Kosowski's Toyota Tundra, garage and other items investigators collected. Cozzi's DNA was also identified on a ballistic vest, while evidence from the law-office bathroom contained DNA associated with both Cozzi and Kosowski. Bloodstain-pattern expert Anna Cox testified that the evidence was consistent with a bloodletting event inside the bathroom followed by an apparent attempt to clean the scene. FBI cellular analyst Kevin Corrigan also walked the court through cellphone data tracing Kosowski's movements, including travel toward the remote dumpster investigators believe is connected to the disposal of Cozzi's remains. Day Four also marked a major change in Kosowski's defense: representing himself, he began cross-examining prosecution witnesses for the first time, questioning the cellphone, fingerprint, DNA and bloodstain evidence.
