    230. "Never Had Too Much Trouble Gettin' One To Tree"

In this week's episode I am joined by Danny Smith. Danny has been a lifelong Stephens Cur man. His dad had them for many years and he has continued that legacy. The intelligence of the breed is one of the main reasons he has stuck with them. Danny has enjoyed squirrel and coon hunting with his Stephens and tells us several stories. He also covers a little history of the breed as well. 229. Julys, Leopards, & Plotts

In this week's episode I am joined once again by Rex Bowers. Rex is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about Julys, Leopards, Plotts, and even Mountain Curs. We didn't get into too much about the Mountain Curs in this episode but we certainly covered the other three breeds. We talk about how a lot of the history is intertwined. If you are interested at all in the history of these breeds you will love this episode! 228. Cosmopolitan Ice Cream & Lessons From Colorado

We are finally back with a new episode and in this's weeks episode I am joined by Justin Angelovich. Justin is a Colorado Houndsman that just popped his head back up for some air after the incredible fight they just had last year. During that fight Justin was the president of the United Houndsman of Colorado. We discuss many of the lessons learned from that fight as well as what the organization is doing differently today. Before we got too serious we talked about Justin's interesting road into becoming a houndsman as well as his very mixed pack of hounds. Be sure to check out the United Houndsman of Colorado's website! https://www.unitedhoundsmenofcolorado.com Sponsors: https://conkeysoutdoors.com Promo Code TREETALKINTIME5 https://www.facebook.com/p/Animal-Housing-Solutions-Inc https://fullcrymag.com Merch: https://treetalkin.com/collections Social Media: https://www.youtube.com/@TreeTalkinMedia https://www.patreon.com/treetalkintime https://www.instagram.com/treetalkinmedia https://www.facebook.com/treetalkinmedia

    227. Just A Kemmer Dog Fancier

Once again we are pulling another great episode from the vault! This episode is with Chris Boone and we are discussing his Kemmer Curs. He married into a family that raised cur dogs and that first one got him hooked. He has raised this line of dogs for over 30 years and continues to have a lot of success with them today. 226. Chooch

In this week's episode, I am pulling another great episode out of the vault. It is with Kenneth Laroux better known as Chooch. Chooch has been following a dog in pursuit of some sort of game his entire life. Growing up deep in the swamps of Louisiana hunting and trapping were a part of his everyday life. As he got older coon hunting became his passion and especially with a fine black dog. Chooch has been in love with the breed ever since. We talk about breeding, hunting, and showing these hounds to improve a breed. Even if Black and tans aren't your preferred breed, you can learn something from Chooch!
