Ocean conservation policy has a complicated legacy. Some of it is worth fighting for. A lot of it was never built for everyone. The Salt Line, a Healthy Ocean Coalition podcast, sits in that uncomfortable, necessary space between the systems we inherited and the ones we need to build. Each episode asks hard questions about governance and power, bringing together the people doing the work of imagining and building an ocean future that actually serves people and the planet and not just some of them.

    Welcome to The Salt Line

    Ocean conservation has a politeness problem and Sarah Winter Whelan is done being "Midwest nice" about it. In the first episode of The Salt Line, Sarah introduces a new podcast filled with "salty" opinions about ocean policy.
