The Duggars: Counting the Charges

Hidden Killers Podcast

America watched them count their blessings on camera — the wholesome family with nineteen kids, a reality TV empire, and a faith-based brand that made them household names. But behind the carefully curated image, something was deeply, fundamentally wrong. And the charges keep coming. I'm Tony Brueski, and this podcast pulls back the curtain on the Duggar family's expanding collision with the criminal justice system — from Josh Duggar's federal conviction for possessing child sexual abuse material to his brother Joseph's recent arrest on charges of allegedly molesting a child under the age of twelve.

This isn't celebrity gossip. This is a case study in what happens when fame, religious authority, and institutional silence allegedly create the conditions for children to be harmed — and for accountability to arrive years, sometimes decades, too late.

Josh Duggar is currently serving a twelve-and-a-half-year federal prison sentence after a jury found him guilty in 2021. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear his appeal. He remains incarcerated with a projected release date of 2032, though he reportedly continues to challenge his conviction. Meanwhile, his brother Joseph was arrested in March 2026 on charges stemming from the alleged molestation of a nine-year-old girl during a family vacation. Joseph and his wife Kendra also face separate charges in Arkansas, including allegations of endangering the welfare of minors and false imprisonment. Both cases remain active.

I cover every development — the court filings, the evidence, the family dynamics, the institutional failures, and the larger questions this story forces us to confront about who we trust and what we choose not to see. Because the Duggars didn't just appear on television. They were held up as an example of how families should look. And that framing has consequences — for the people allegedly hurt inside that world and for the millions who watched it play out without ever knowing what was reportedly happening off-camera.

New episodes drop as the cases develop. If you believe accountability matters more than image, you're in the right place.

What Josh Duggar Wrote About His Sisters In Court

Two Duggar sons, two courtrooms, one family habit that keeps showing up in both. Josh Duggar filed a 2025 motion from inside federal prison that names his own sisters, and what he's asking a court to do with them is the story driving this episode. It follows him through four facility transfers in three states that the Bureau of Prisons has never explained, moves his lawyer blames on retaliation over opened legal mail. His release date says something his lawyer doesn't: originally set for August 2032, it's been pushed back three separate times and now sits at February 2, 2033, always later, never earlier. At trial, jurors heard exactly how committed he was to avoiding oversight, down to a hidden operating system built to blind the monitoring software his own wife was using. The second courtroom belongs to his brother Joseph, thirty-one, facing two felony counts in Florida over what happened to a child during a 2020 family trip. He's pleaded not guilty, though the affidavit says he admitted what happened twice, once to the child's father and once to detectives on a call they were recording. His parents bailed him out within days. The people who actually called the police were his in-laws, the Caldwells, a family that chose the courthouse over the kitchen table, which is precisely what the Duggars have avoided doing for two decades. One brother naming his sisters in a federal filing. Another brother's in-laws paying a price for reporting him. Same last name, same instinct to control the story from the inside, two very different rooms where it's now playing out in public. What each of them is actually trying to protect is what this episode gets into. Jim Bob Duggar's Family Friend Did WHAT In 2003?!

In 2003, Jim Bob Duggar didn't call the police when his oldest son confessed. He drove him to a family friend with a badge instead, and that single decision is the reason no charges were ever filed. Now, more than two decades later, that same family friend is serving fifty-six years in prison himself, and Joseph Duggar, the brother who once cried on camera about Josh's secret life, is fighting his own charges out of Bay County, Florida. Tony Brueski lays out exactly how Jim Bob Duggar's 2003 decision set the template the family has followed ever since: keep it inside the house, keep it away from outsiders, keep it off the record. Joseph Duggar has pleaded not guilty to the Florida allegations involving a nine-year-old girl and is out on a six hundred thousand dollar bond. His 2015 television confession about Josh, once framed as an act of honesty, now reads very differently. This episode also connects the Duggar family's Arkansas case, where Joseph and Kendra Duggar face charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment involving their own four children, to a case eight hundred miles away in Hamden, Ohio. There, four members of the Siders family face sixteen counts each of endangering children after sixteen kids were removed from their home in June of 2026, kept off school rolls and away from anyone who might have asked questions. Same blueprint, two families, and only one of them could afford to walk straight out of custody. Tony Brueski connects every thread, from the man with the badge in 2003 to the bond paperwork in 2026, and asks the question the family has never had to answer out loud. Joseph Duggar’s In-Laws Did WHAT the Family Never Has

The Joseph Duggar case has exposed something the Duggar family has spent decades hiding: when a child is harmed, the people who actually protect that child get treated as the enemy. Kendra Duggar’s relatives learned it firsthand. They reported him — and this Joseph Duggar update traces exactly what that cost them. The essentials. Joseph Duggar, thirty-one, the seventh of Jim Bob and Michelle’s nineteen children, faces two felony counts in Florida, one a life felony involving a child who was nine in 2020. He has pleaded not guilty. According to the affidavit, he admitted the conduct to the girl’s father and again to detectives. His parents posted the six-hundred-thousand-dollar bond and brought him home. The family that reported him is the Caldwells — the people Kendra came from. Her father is a Baptist pastor. They did the one thing no Duggar did in 2003, when the family sent another son to a friend for a talk instead of to the police. That friend is serving fifty-six years. The Caldwells refused to make the same choice. And the Duggar machine turned on them for it. This episode is about what a family teaches when it protects the accused and punishes the person who spoke up. Four counts. Four children. A set of exterior locks. A pastor’s family driven out, cut off, and left with a loss no one should have to carry. What that loss is, I will leave for the video. Josh Duggar Says He NEVER Wrote His Own Confession

When Josh Duggar was fifteen, his parents found out what he'd done to five girls, four of them his own sisters. They didn't call the police. They took him to a family acquaintance who happened to be an Arkansas state trooper, who gave the boy a talk and sent him home. No report. No agency notified. Under Arkansas law, that trooper was legally required to report it, and didn't. The quiet handling ran out the clock, and by the time real police investigated, it was too late to charge him. The trooper his parents trusted is now serving fifty-six years in an Arkansas prison for the same category of crime. That was the first thing ever built to stand between Josh Duggar and consequences, and he walked straight through it. The pattern never stopped. A hidden partition to blind the accountability software his wife was reading. And now, from a cell in Ohio, a 2025 motion that asks a federal court to un-write the confession the entire country read in 2015. He says television producers wrote it, not him. In that same filing, he pulls his sisters in one more time, listing the exposure of their records as a wrong done to him. He walks out February 2, 2033. The Duggars Did What The Siders Did — In Public

For anyone who has followed this family since Nineteen Kids and Counting, the hardest part of this episode is how familiar the Siders case looks. A different family, a different state, no cameras — and the same machine running underneath. Joseph Duggar has pleaded not guilty to two felonies in Florida involving a child under twelve, tied to a 2020 family trip to Panama City Beach. He posted a six hundred thousand dollar bond. He and Kendra Duggar have also pleaded not guilty to four counts each of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts each of false imprisonment in Tontitown, and the state removed all four of their children. Tony Brueski holds all of it up against the Siders family in Vinton County, Ohio — sixteen children, sixteen felony counts per defendant, a mother who was fifteen and seven months pregnant on her wedding day, and an eighteen-year-old who cannot spell her own name. All four Siders have pleaded not guilty. The machinery will look familiar. Homeschooling with no outside eyes. Problems handled inside the house. The 2003 stern talk with a family friend in a state trooper's uniform — a mandated reporter who filed nothing and is now serving fifty-six years on charges of his own, more than four times what Josh Duggar received. Then the difference that only one of these families can afford. One grandfather walked out of an Ohio jail because the county could not cover his hospital bills. The other wrote a six hundred thousand dollar check. Two families ran the identical play. Only one of them did it on television. Only one of them could afford the lawyer. Did Joseph Duggar Describe Himself On That TLC Tape?

Every Duggar follower has seen the Josh Duggar file. Almost nobody has gone back to what Joseph said about it. He was twenty. It was December of 2015. TLC was still filming, the family was still trying to survive the scandal, and Joseph Duggar sat down and said the quiet part on camera. Josh had been living a secret life. When somebody you respect stands up and preaches about being true to your wife, you would never think that is the person involved in it. It broke his heart. Five years later, according to an arrest affidavit filed in Bay County, Florida, Joseph Duggar was on a family vacation in Panama City Beach and asked a nine-year-old girl to sit on his lap. He has pleaded not guilty and demanded a jury trial. Tony Brueski goes straight at the argument tearing the Duggar fandom in half: is Joseph worse than Josh, or is Josh worse than Joseph. He answers it. Then he explains why the answer changes nothing. Because the through line is not a brother. It is Jim Bob, and a decision he made in July of 2003, and the man with a badge he handed his son to instead of dialing a police station. It is the doctrine underneath that decision, which taught this family that the danger lives outside the chain of command. It is a June 2015 television interview that stripped the protection the police reports had given two Duggar daughters. It is a jail email. It is a separate Arkansas case involving four children between three and seven years old. And it is one nine-year-old girl who waited five years, and one father who was not a Duggar. What the Duggar Children Say Was Really Happening at Home

The Duggars told the world their family was proof the system worked. Joseph and Kendra were the ones who stayed quiet, smiled for the cameras, and raised their children away from the headlines. But their children are talking now. And what they’re describing — the discipline, the isolation, the curriculum that told them questioning their parents was a sin — is the same IBLP doctrine that shaped Josh Duggar before he ended up in a federal facility. Joseph begged a judge to keep his brother’s case sealed. Kendra sat through depositions without breaking character. They knew what the system had produced. They knew what their own family had been through. And they kept raising their children inside it. The children didn’t choose the system. They didn’t choose the isolation. They didn’t choose the curriculum that told them the outside world was a threat. Their parents chose it for them — after watching it fail in the most public and devastating way a family can fail. What the children are saying now is what the parents refused to say then. A look back at the most compelling stories of the week. Did Joseph Duggar Really Ask a Judge to Let Him Back Near Where His Accuser Lived?

He did. And the judge said no. Joseph Duggar’s attorney filed a motion in Bay County, Florida arguing that the family at the center of the case had “abandoned” their residence and Joseph should be allowed to return to property near where they once lived. Court filings show Joseph owns six parcels within five hundred feet of the home. His attorney listed maintenance tasks — mowing, painting, flooring, demolishing a shed. The judge denied the motion and told him to send employees. Tony Brueski breaks down what the filing reveals about the proximity Joseph allegedly had to the family after the 2020 Panama City Beach vacation where the alleged incidents took place. Both families returned to the same corner of northwest Arkansas. For six years, the girl lived within five hundred feet of property Joseph controlled. When her father confronted Joseph in March 2026, he allegedly admitted to what happened. He was arrested the next day. The family left their home shortly after. The hearing also revealed that Joseph was denied unsupervised contact with his own four children. After his arrest, investigators found exterior locks on bedroom doors inside the Duggar home — the same configuration that existed in Jim Bob and Michelle’s house a generation earlier, installed after Josh confessed to harming his sisters. The state removed all four children. Joseph and Kendra each face eight additional charges in Arkansas. Jim Bob’s jailhouse email compared Joseph to King David and told him to “make lemonade out of lemons.” Pretrial hearing July 14. Trial in August. Why Was Josh Duggar Transferred From Minimum Security to a Federal Medical Center?

On May 29, federal prison records confirmed what no press conference announced: Josh Duggar is no longer at FCI Seagoville. The Bureau of Prisons moved Josh from the minimum-security facility near Dallas where he’d been held since June 2022 to the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth — an administrative security federal medical center forty-six miles away. The BOP declined to explain the transfer, citing security concerns. The move doesn’t confirm a medical need. But it confirms that the federal system decided Josh no longer belonged in the lowest-restriction environment available. His conduct record fills in the blanks. Josh was caught with a contraband cellphone shortly after arriving at Seagoville. Solitary confinement. Sentence extended. The BOP placed him in a privileged housing unit reserved for inmates who earn it through good conduct — and he managed to lose that, too. Removed. More time tacked on. Then his cousin Amy Duggar King confirmed publicly that Josh had landed in solitary again after yet another infraction. Three extensions total — six extra months added to a sentence that was already twelve and a half years, pushing his release to February 2, 2033. The transfer came days before Judge Timothy Brooks denied Josh’s fourth and final appeal on June 1 — ruling that Josh’s account of why his paperwork reached the court well past the deadline was “simply not credible” and amounted to a “magic bullet theory.” Anna Duggar helped prepare the paperwork but mailed it back to Josh in prison instead of filing it. Josh claims he mailed it on time. The prison’s mail log says otherwise. From blanket training to a federal medical center. From the golden child of America’s most famous homeschool family to an inmate who can’t keep privileges in a facility designed for people who follow rules. Tony Brueski examines how the IBLP’s doctrine of obedience without accountability produced exactly this result. Would the Law the Huckabees Championed Apply to Joseph Duggar?

“Creating a hardship for the family unit.” That’s how Joseph Duggar’s attorney described the no-contact order that bars him from unsupervised contact with his own four children. A judge imposed that order after reviewing charges that include a life felony. And now the defense wants it loosened — while the state Joseph lives in has a law on the books that says crimes like the ones he’s allegedly accused of can be punished by death. Tony Brueski walks through the Duggar-Huckabee political relationship that spans two decades, two presidential campaigns, and one signed death penalty law — and the silence that followed when Joseph Duggar was arrested. He digs into the emails Jim Bob sent his son in jail comparing him to biblical heroes and telling him to “make lemonade out of lemons.” He reads Josh Duggar’s prison correspondence claiming God wants him back in politics doing criminal justice reform. And he asks the question this family and everyone around them keeps dodging: if the laws you championed say this behavior deserves death, why does your response change when it’s your son, your brother, your political ally? An opinion piece that holds every name in this story to the standard they set for everyone else. No exceptions. No carve-outs. No lemonade. Anna Duggar Forwarded Josh a Message Calling His Conviction a 'Victimless Crime'

Josh Duggar was convicted in federal court of possessing child sexual abuse material that a Homeland Security agent described as among the worst he had ever examined. And according to emails obtained by People magazine, Anna Duggar forwarded him a message from a friend calling that conviction a "victimless crime." She also told Josh that Jim Bob was a "dead-end road" and that the family had been negative toward him since he was ten. She described the Duggar machine with total precision in private. She never acted on any of it publicly. Anna sent Josh private photos through the monitored jail system. He asked for more. She complied. Days before sentencing, he was allegedly writing about "taking things up a notch." She engaged through the same monitored system she later warned Joseph about when he was arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior on a child under twelve in Panama City Beach. Joseph has pleaded not guilty. Anna emailed him within days, put money on his books, told him which pod was safer based on Josh's time, and warned him not to discuss legal matters because everything gets turned over. Her final message about Kendra: "She loves you so much." Not: tell the truth. Not: think about the child. Tony Brueski and Robin Dreeke trace the behavioral line from Anna to Kendra. In recorded jail calls obtained through FOIA, Kendra allegedly never asks about the nine-year-old at the center of the case. She asks Joseph one thing: do you still love me? Jim Bob's email allegedly called it "terrible decisions" and pivoted to Kendra's charges. The IBLP forgiveness-over-justice framework holds the pattern in place. Anna is the template. Kendra is being guided toward the same model. Kendra's own parents allegedly broke from the Duggars and stood with the alleged victim — and lost their home and livelihood for it. The wives' playbook isn't a theory. It's a paper trail. The Duggars Allegedly Protected Josh First — Now Joseph Faces The Same Kind Of Charges

Josh Duggar allegedly molested four of his sisters. The family allegedly handled it internally. He was later convicted on federal child sexual abuse material charges and is currently serving time. Now his brother Joseph sits in jail on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior on a child under twelve — and the family's alleged response, captured in recorded calls and emails, looks disturbingly familiar. Tony Brueski and Robin Dreeke take apart the alleged generational pattern. The jail calls where Kendra allegedly asks Joseph repeatedly if he still loves her — never once allegedly mentioning the nine-year-old girl at the center of the charges. Jim Bob's email that allegedly called it "terrible decisions" and immediately pivoted to protecting Kendra legally. The fact that Josh allegedly never accounted to the sisters he reportedly harmed while the family allegedly rewarded him and Anna with homes and support. Robin brings behavioral expertise to the systemic questions. The IBLP's alleged role in creating a framework where abuse is allegedly confessed internally and forgiven spiritually instead of reported to authorities. The homeschooling and isolation that allegedly limited the number of outside adults who could observe warning signs. The generational pattern from Jim Bob and Michelle's alleged handling of Josh's behavior to the current charges against Joseph. Whether CPS should investigate all Duggar grandchildren across states reflects an audience that sees an alleged family system, not individual incidents — and Robin's analysis explains why alleged systems like this perpetuate until something external forces them open. Duggar NSFW Wife's Photos to Josh and Emails to Joseph Reveal the Playbook They Built for Kendra

Anna Duggar's correspondence with both Duggar brothers is now part of the public record — and it documents a pattern this family has been running for over a decade. Anna knows what Josh admitted to doing to four of his sisters. She sat through his federal trial. She heard an agent describe the material on his computer as among the worst he had ever examined. And according to emails obtained by People magazine, she was sending Josh private photos and personal messages from the Washington County Detention Center the same month he was sentenced. He asked for photos. She sent them. He requested more. She knew the system was monitored — because she later recited those exact rules to Joseph Duggar. When Joseph was arrested on felony charges in Florida involving alleged conduct against a child — charges he has pleaded not guilty to — Anna emailed him within days. According to jail records obtained by E! News, she put money on his books, told him which pod was safer from Josh's experience at the same facility, warned him about monitored communications, and sent a final message about Kendra: "She loves you so much." Not tell the truth. Not think about the child. The wife will hold. She also forwarded Josh a message calling his conviction a "victimless crime" — without correction or pushback. In private emails reported by multiple outlets, Anna told Josh his father was a "dead-end road" and that the family had been negative toward him since he was ten. She described the Duggar machine's dysfunction with surgical precision — and never acted on it. She vented to the one person locked in a cell who couldn't use it, and performed for the system everywhere else. She looked at the exit and walked back. Kendra Duggar married Joseph at nineteen and has reportedly sided with the Duggars over her own parents — the parents who stood with the alleged victim and lost their home and income. The Caldwells posted a family photo without Kendra for the first time. The playbook is documented. The paper trail is public. And Kendra is following every page Anna already walked. The Duggar Children Were Taught Obedience — Not How to Survive

They did everything right. Every booklet. Every module. Every rule. The children raised inside the Duggar family's IBLP curriculum followed the system exactly as it was designed — and when they finally stepped outside it, they found out the system had never been designed to prepare them for anything beyond itself. This week's review brings together the most essential conversations from our series — focused on what the Duggar family curriculum actually produced and who's living with the wreckage. The Wisdom Booklets taught that the French Revolution was God punishing disobedience. That questioning authority was rebellion against a divine order. That illness came from spiritual failure. Every subject was rewritten to reinforce one message: submit. The man who wrote it — Bill Gothard — sat at the top of an authority chain that demanded total obedience from everyone below him while exempting himself from any accountability whatsoever. When his conduct became public, the structure didn't reform. It just kept failing the people inside it until ATI quietly closed in 2021. The adults who came out the other side tell the real story. Math that never got past fractions. ACT scores that meant nothing because there was no GPA to attach them to. Professional degrees that didn't function in the real world. Young adults who didn't understand basic biology about their own bodies until years after they should have. They weren't lazy. They weren't rebellious. They did exactly what they were told — and they were told things that weren't true, by people who benefited from their compliance. ATI shut down. Nobody went back. Nobody built a program to help former students close the gaps. The Duggar name made the system famous. The people the system broke are still putting themselves back together in silence. The Duggar Curriculum Taught Girls Their Bodies Were the Problem

Before any Duggar was arrested. Before Josh's federal conviction. Before Joseph's charges. Before any of it — there was a curriculum. Fifty-four Wisdom Booklets written by Bill Gothard, distributed to thousands of families through the Institute in Basic Life Principles, and used as the primary education for the Duggar children on national television. The booklets did not just teach reading and math through a biblical lens. They installed a framework — one that told girls their bodies caused sin, told victims their silence meant guilt, and told every child in the system that the authority above them could not be questioned. Wisdom Booklet 15 quizzed children on "eye traps" in women's clothing. Girls learned that the way they dressed was responsible for the thoughts and actions of the men around them. Booklet 36 taught that a woman who does not cry out during an attack shares guilt with her attacker. That material was studied by children as young as five. By the time a girl inside this system was old enough to understand what those words meant, the framework was already installed — if something happens to you, the first question is what you did wrong. The pseudoscience ran alongside the control. IBLP taught that Cabbage Patch dolls caused difficult childbirth. That rock music was more addictive than crack cocaine. That mental illness did not exist — it was a spiritual failure. That adopted children carried inherited sin from their birth parents. The organization's medical arm — the Medical Training Institute of America — operated without a single licensed doctor and issued health guidance that replaced medicine with obedience. Bill Gothard wrote every booklet. He was accused of sexual harassment by more than thirty women. He built a system that pre-installed silence in a generation of girls before anything had happened to them — and then operated inside that system for decades before being removed. The Duggar family promoted this curriculum. They brought it into millions of homes through television. And now, as Joseph and Kendra face charges and Josh serves a federal sentence, the system that shaped all of them is finally being examined for what it actually taught — not what it claimed to teach. The damage was never accidental. It was the curriculum. Joseph Duggar Found Ruth. He Should Have Found Matthew 18:6.

Joseph Duggar sat in solitary confinement with nothing but a Bible and his own thoughts. He found the book of Ruth — the story of the outcast who receives grace, mercy, and a second chance. He called Kendra and told her it moved him. He sees himself in it. The one who has been rejected. The one who deserves redemption. He did not find Matthew 18:6. He did not find Mark 9:42. He did not find Luke 17:2. Three Gospels. Three witnesses. Same words from the same Jesus he claims is comforting him — anyone who harms a child would be better off at the bottom of the sea with a millstone around their neck. Joseph had the entire word of God in his hands with nowhere to be and nothing to do, and he read past the verse that was written for men exactly like the one prosecutors say he is. Joseph faces Florida charges — lewd and lascivious behavior on a child under twelve. He bonded out on $600,000. Both he and Kendra face Arkansas charges — four counts each of endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment. Both have pled not guilty. Their four children have been removed from their custody. Kendra sobbed on a recorded jail call telling Joseph the children are her whole world. In the same conversation, she warned him not to trust anyone and coordinated business details. Joseph tracked his brothers' vacation schedules. He managed his Airbnb. He prayed. He never mentioned the child he allegedly harmed. His father allegedly built the system. His brother Josh is in federal prison for child exploitation material. And now Joseph is the second Duggar son facing charges involving a minor — raised in the same household, shaped by the same doctrine, following the same pattern. But Kendra's story is not the same as every other woman in this family. She was not born into IBLP. She was not raised under the Duggar system. Her father is a Baptist pastor with no connection to any of it. She married in at nineteen. And according to reporting, Joseph allegedly isolated her from the Caldwell family before everything came apart. They posted a family photo without her. That empty space is not rejection. It is an open door. Amy Duggar King — the one who walked out of this family and survived the cost — sits down with retired FBI Behavioral Analysis Chief Robin Dreeke to speak directly to Kendra. What does it take to leave? What does the system do when you try? And what does it mean that the family Kendra came from is still there, still standing, still waiting? IBLP’s Duggar Curriculum: The Adults the Booklets Produced (V)

The Duggar family curriculum produced adults who are now in their thirties and forties, rebuilding educations that were never built the first time. Math through fractions because baking was enough. Law degrees that couldn’t be used. Test scores with no matching transcript. Young people funneled into IBLP labor programs instead of college. Adults who didn’t understand basic biology until they found it on their own. In this final episode, we meet the people the Wisdom Booklets produced — the ones who did everything right inside the system and discovered it meant nothing outside of it. ATI shut down without ever going back for them. Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? IBLP’s Duggar Curriculum: How the Booklets Rewrote History (IV)

This is what the Duggar family curriculum taught their children about history and government. The French Revolution was caused by disobedience to God. The separation of church and state is a deviation from divine design. Women wearing pants violates God’s legal code. Illness can be traced to a failure of submission. The Wisdom Booklets didn’t teach history. They taught a theology of compliance — and the man who wrote them had engineered a system where all obedience flowed upward and ended with him. We go inside the law and government sections and the self-serving authority framework behind every page. Kendra Duggar Is Protecting Joseph — Not Her Children

A man allegedly facing life felonies for what he did to a child spent a recorded jailhouse phone call asking about cleaning schedules, app notifications, and whether to sell a tool trailer. Joseph Duggar is managing a vacation rental from solitary confinement — while somewhere, a child carries what he allegedly did to her for the rest of her life. That’s not the only thing on these calls. He’s also building himself a redemption arc. He chose the Book of Ruth — the story of an outcast shown mercy. He told Kendra it encouraged him. He switched Bible translations because the old one wasn’t working. He prayed for hours. And in all of it — across every recorded call from Washington County — he never once mentioned the child he allegedly harmed. Not a prayer. Not a name. Not a thought. He told Kendra he’s upset to be “in this situation.” He told her their faith was “tainted by the people around us.” He framed the crisis as something done to them, not something he allegedly did to a child. And Kendra — 27 years old, facing her own charges, coordinating family logistics with full competence — told him everybody loves him and warned him to watch what they say. Joseph skipped Matthew 18:6 — where Jesus said anyone who harms a child would be better off drowned with a millstone. Jim Bob allegedly built the system that taught Joseph to confess, apologize, and expect forgiveness. That system reportedly got him arrested. The same machine that produced Josh produced Joseph. And the God Joseph claims is comforting him already said whose side He’s on. IBLP’s Duggar Curriculum: What the Booklets Taught Girls About Their Bodies (III)

This is what the Duggar family curriculum taught their daughters about their bodies. Wisdom Booklet 15 trained girls to identify “eye traps” in their own clothing. Booklet 24 argued that family members showing skin opened doors to spiritual danger. Booklet 36 taught that victims who don’t cry out during an attack share guilt with their attacker. Biblical women who were victimized were rewritten as cautionary tales about disobedience. And the man who designed this entire framework — Bill Gothard — was later accused of sexual harassment by more than thirty women he allegedly recruited to work at IBLP headquarters. We go inside the teachings that pre-built a generation’s silence.
