    The Mary We Forgot with Dr. Jennifer Powell McNutt

    Rev. Dr. Jennifer Powell McNutt, Ph.D., FrHistS is an award-winning author and professor, who holds the Franklin S. Dyrness Chair of Biblical and Theological Studies and is Professor of Theology and History of Christianity at Wheaton College, Litfin Divinity School. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of St. Andrews (Reformation Studies Institute), M.Div. at Princeton Theological Seminary, and B.A. in Religious Studies (Biblical Languages) from Westmont College. She is director of the M.A. Programs in Theology and in History of Christianity. Dr. McNutt’s research specializes broadly in the history of Christianity and theology and specifically in Reformation Studies through the Enlightenment, John Calvin and the Reformed tradition, and the history of the Bible. Her work on the French Bible has received numerous grants and fellowships. Rev. Dr. McNutt also serves as a Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church along with her husband, Rev. Dr. David McNutt. They run a co-ministry called “McNuttshell Ministries,” which serves as a bridge between the church and the academy. Christ For All: Every Methodist An Evangelist, is a new resource from the Francis Asbury Society that was made for the purpose of equipping GMC Christians for the necessary work of evangelism. This resource was originally developed for participants of the NextLevel Evangelism Conference hosted by The Wesley House of Studies at Truett Theological Seminary (Baylor University). The Spirit of God is moving in powerful ways among Methodists; notably, though not exclusively in the Global Methodist Church, which is experiencing exponential growth. Many believe that a global awakening has begun as we find ourselves in the greatest ingathering of Christians in human history. It is our hope that every Methodist church across the globe might decide to be an active participant in what God is doing. For that to happen, evangelism cannot be the domain of professional clergy alone. It must be the work of the entire priesthood of believers.
