    To Hell And Back: The Conservatorship; With Rick Lobo

    Slam The Gavel welcomes Rick Lobo to the podcast. Rick has recently published his book, "The Trifecta Code, When Crisis Becomes the Catalyst for Profound Change," #1 Best Seller on Amazon in August, 2026. This memoir is about making the journey through the hardest seasons of life instead of walking around them. On 10-4-2019, Rick's father showed up on his doorstep, unannounced. He explained to his son, that his wife, Rick's mother - who has mental illness - had attacked him. Rick was suddenly the one who had to figure out what happened. He was advised to pursue a conservatorship. However no one told Rick how hard that process would be. A Temporary Conservatorship was granted in 2020. Covid hit in March and everything got pushed back in the courts. What followed was three years of a battle Rick had not expected. Not just against the courts, but against his whole family. His mother had passed away on 9-20-23. Rick had seen her four days earlier. Rick is still in the battle to this day.....     TRAUMA WARNING: Child-Annihilation Via Judiciary; With James Johnson

    Slam The Gavel podcast welcomes James Johnson, a father from San Mateo County, California. His daughter died by suicide on July 4th, 2026. He had been alienated from his daughter and spent years battling in court for the ability to see her. He describes experiencing extreme financial and litigation abuse throughout the court process, including the removal of custody without, what he believes was "sufficient cause." James had not seen his daughter for approximately two years until the hospital contacted him and let him know what happened on July 4th, 2026. James then had to file an Emergency Request with the court simply to be "allowed" to see his deceased daughter and say goodbye for closure. The mother opposed his request and argued that ANY visit should be supervised and limited to 15 minutes. After going back and forth, the judge ultimately ruled, granting him a "Supervised" 30-minute visit with his deceased daughter. Now James has had to file another motion which is set to be heard on September 2nd, 2026 at 9:00an PST before Judge Novak in Department 12, the 2nd floor. He was gaslighted by the Colorado government and “psychiatric industrial complex,” and is now back working with many victims to seek justice. John James Mc Keogh is a father, constitutional researcher, court observer, and family court accountability advocate from Illinois. He also brings 30 years of professional experience in Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement, supply chain IT infrastructure, aviation infrastructure design, and operational support. His first divorce resolved by agreement, with shared 50/50 parenting and without prolonged financial conflict. That experience showed him that family matters can be resolved without destroying parents, children, or family stability through litigation.
