She Wants A Masculine Provider, But Expects Him To Go 50/50 At Home

She wants a masculine man. She wants him to provide, take the lead, make her feel secure, and bring that strong masculine energy into the relationship. But when it comes to the home, she expects everything to be 50/50. So can you really have both? In this episode, we get into one of the biggest contradictions in modern dating and relationships. Women are increasingly financially independent and want equality at home, but many still say they’re attracted to traditional masculine qualities, including a man who provides and takes the lead. If a man is expected to carry more of the financial responsibility, is it fair to expect him to do exactly half of the cooking, cleaning, and household responsibilities too? And if both partners want a completely 50/50 relationship, does that change the masculine and feminine dynamic they say they want? We also look at what “50/50” actually means. Does everything have to be divided equally, or is a healthy relationship about both people contributing in different ways? Mel and Suzie debate whether modern relationships are asking men and women to play traditional and modern roles at the same time and whether that’s actually sustainable. Honest conversations about sex, dating, relationships, and everything we're thinking but not saying. Join the conversation and let us know where you stand. Got a story to share with us? I Want A Masculine Man, But I Don’t Want Him Telling Me What To Do

She’s single, successful, independent, and fully capable of taking care of herself. But when it comes to dating, she says she wants a strong, masculine man who can take the lead. There’s just one problem. When a man actually does lead, she doesn’t always like it. Suddenly, his confidence feels controlling, his decisiveness feels bossy, and she finds herself pushing back. So what does wanting a “masculine man” actually mean? In this episode of Sharing My Truth, Mel and Suzie unpack a listener’s dilemma that a lot of successful, independent women may relate to. Can you want a man who leads while still maintaining your independence? Where’s the line between masculine leadership and controlling behaviour? And if you constantly challenge the type of man you say you want, could you actually be getting in your own way? We get into masculine and feminine dynamics, control, independence, modern dating, and why what we think we want in a partner doesn’t always match what we’re comfortable with when we actually get it. Is he too controlling, or is she struggling to let someone else take the lead? Honest conversations about sex, dating, relationships, and everything we're thinking but not saying. Women Are Prioritizing The Wrong Things In Men | Coral Osborne - Part 2

Are women looking for the right things when choosing a man, or are modern dating expectations getting in the way of finding a genuinely good partner? In this episode of Sharing My Truth, Mel and Suzie continue their conversation with Coral Osborne, Certified Intimacy & Identity Coach for men, about what women prioritize in dating and why some of those expectations may be working against them. We talk about attraction, status, success, masculinity and emotional connection, and whether women are overlooking the qualities that actually make a relationship work. Coral also shares what she has learned from working closely with men, including what men really want from women and what they wish women understood about them. Are women expecting men to tick too many boxes? Are they overlooking good men? And when it comes to finding a lasting relationship, are we all focusing on the wrong things? Men Are Misunderstood, And Nobody Seems to Care | Coral Osborne - Part 1

Are men more misunderstood than ever, and does anyone actually care about what they’re going through? In this episode of Sharing My Truth, Mel and Suzie sit down with Coral Osborne, who works closely with men around relationships, intimacy, confidence, and connection, to talk about what she’s seeing behind closed doors. Men are constantly told they need to communicate more, be more emotionally available, and understand women better. But who is trying to understand them? We get into why so many men feel unheard in modern relationships, the pressures and expectations placed on men, what women may be getting wrong about what men actually need, and why the conversation around relationships can sometimes feel very one-sided. Coral also shares what she has learned from working directly with men, including the things they struggle to say out loud and what they really want from their relationships with women. Is modern dating failing men? Are women really listening to what men are saying? And have we become so focused on what women need from relationships that we’ve stopped asking what men need too? 🔥 This is a conversation that might challenge what you think you know about men. Why Men Need to Stop Performing | Dave Rossi

How much of who you are is really you, and how much is the person you think you're supposed to be? In this episode, we sit down with Dave Rossi, author, speaker, and founder of Omega, to talk about the pressure men feel to perform, achieve, appear strong, and live up to an image of what a man should be. Dave spent much of his life succeeding at a game he says he never chose to play. From the outside, he was achieving, but underneath it, he felt increasingly disconnected from who he really was. That experience ultimately led him to question the expectations he'd built his life around and find a different way of living. We talk about modern masculinity, identity, success, relationships, and authenticity and what happens when men spend so much time trying to meet other people's expectations that they lose sight of themselves. What does it actually mean to "be yourself"? Can you be successful without constantly performing? And how do you figure out who you really are when you've spent years becoming who you thought you were supposed to be? It's a thought-provoking conversation about masculinity, the masks we wear, and what can happen when you finally take them off. I Love My Wife, But I’m Cheating on Her

A 55-year-old married man writes in with a dilemma: he loves his wife, doesn’t want to hurt her, and says they have a good life together. But the sex and intimacy have disappeared, and he’s been getting that part of his life elsewhere. Now he doesn’t know what to do. He doesn’t want to hurt his wife, but he knows something has to change. Does he stay because after all these years he owes it to her and the life they’ve built together? Does he admit he’s been cheating, knowing the truth could devastate her? Or does he leave, even though he still loves her? He doesn’t want another relationship or to replace his wife. But he also doesn’t want to accept a life without sex, affection, or feeling desired. Is cheating ever understandable when intimacy has disappeared from a marriage? Is keeping the secret actually protecting his wife or protecting himself? And can you genuinely love someone while repeatedly cheating on them? In this episode, Mel and Suzie get into love, sex, loyalty, infidelity, and what we really owe someone after decades together. Stay, confess, or leave. What would you tell him to do? A Conversation With Stay Slick With Kit: The Men Women Want vs. The Women Men Want | Part 2

Kit primarily coaches women, and part of his approach is helping them look at dating more realistically. Are your expectations matching the kind of relationship you want? Are you confusing sexual attraction with relationship interest? And are men and women actually looking for the same things in each other? We talk about why women can sometimes use sex to gain access to men who are happy to date or sleep with them but would not necessarily choose them for a committed relationship. Kit explains why this can create a false sense of your dating options, particularly when sexual interest is mistaken for genuine relationship potential. We also explore what men look for when choosing a partner, what women look for in men, unrealistic dating expectations, attraction versus compatibility, and why simply waiting for the perfect person to turn up may not be working. It’s a frank conversation about the men women want versus the women men want, and what both sides might need to understand if they actually want a successful relationship. A Conversation With Stay Slick With Kit: Why Women Should Make The First Move In Dating - Part 1

Modern dating has changed, but are men and women still waiting for each other to make the first move? In Part 1 of our conversation with dating coach Kit @stayslickwithkit, we explore what’s happening between men and women today, why dating has become so difficult, and what women can do differently if they want to attract the kind of man they’re actually looking for. Kit primarily coaches women, helping them understand men, attraction, and how to create the opportunity for the right relationship to develop. One of his core ideas is women need to make the first "feminine move". As Kit puts it, masculinity pursues; femininity invites. If you want a man to approach you, pursue you, or ask you out, you have to give him something to respond to. A look, a smile, a conversation, a signal of interest. Nobody is coming if you do nothing. We talk about the growing disconnect between men and women, Gen Z and dating, masculine and feminine dynamics, why some men are increasingly hesitant to approach women, what attraction looks like today, and how women can make the “first feminine move” while still allowing a man to pursue. Is modern dating really broken, or have men and women simply forgotten how to signal that they want each other? Please let us know what you think in the comments. Stirling Cooper Intreview: The Truth About Men, Women & Modern Dating Part 1

Modern dating has never been more complicated. Men and women seem to be further apart than ever, dating apps are leaving people frustrated, and conversations about attraction, relationships, and expectations have become increasingly divided. In this episode, we're joined by Stirling Cooper, intimacy coach, former award-winning adult film star, and former high-class male escort, for an honest conversation about what's really happening between men and women today. Single Women Say They’re Happy. Are They Really?

We hear the same message over an over again: more women are choosing to stay single, and many say they're happier than ever. One of our listeners wrote in to tell us we were completely wrong. She believes we're unfairly suggesting that single women can't be happy, and she wanted to set the record straight. So, is being single really the key to happiness for some women? Are the headlines and social media conversations telling the whole story? Or is there a difference between being content on your own and genuinely wanting to stay single long term? In this episode, Mel and Suzie read her message and dive into one of the biggest debates in modern dating. They discuss why more women are choosing single life, whether happiness and relationships are being framed as opposites, how expectations around marriage and independence have changed, and why this conversation sparks such strong reactions from both men and women. Can someone be genuinely happy without a relationship? Is there pressure to claim you're happier single than you really are? And why has this become such a controversial topic? Should Men Pay on the First Date? And Do Women Mean It When They Offer?

For generations, the rule seemed simple: the man pays on the first date. But in a world of equality, changing gender roles, and rising dating costs, does that rule still apply? Should men still pick up the check? Do women expect it, appreciate it, or see it as outdated? And when a woman reaches for her purse and offers to split the bill, does she actually mean it, or is she secretly hoping he'll insist on paying? In this episode, Mel and Suzie tackle one of modern dating's most debated questions. They discuss what men and women really think about paying on the first date, whether the person who asks should pay, and how money, effort, and expectations shape attraction from the very beginning. They also explore whether refusing a woman's offer to split the bill is chivalrous or patronizing, whether going Dutch kills romance, and why this seemingly simple moment can reveal so much about values, intentions, and compatibility. So what's the right answer? Pay, split, alternate, or run for the exit when the bill arrives? Join the debate. Want more honest dating advice from women who actually tell you the truth? Men Want Marriage More Than Women Now. What Happened?

For years, we've been told that women are the ones dreaming about weddings, commitment, and happily ever after, while men are the ones avoiding marriage. But what if that story isn't true anymore? Recent research shows that 66% of men aged 18 to 29 say marriage is at least somewhat essential to their version of the American Dream. So what changed? Are young men becoming more interested in commitment while women are becoming more hesitant about marriage? In this episode, Mel and Suzie explore one of the biggest shifts in modern dating and relationships. Why are some men prioritizing marriage more than ever? Why are many women delaying or opting out of marriage altogether? Have career ambitions, financial pressures, dating apps, and changing gender roles completely changed the equation? They discuss whether marriage still matters, what commitment means to men and women today, and whether modern dating is pushing the sexes further apart or bringing them closer together. How to Meet Women in Real Life (When You’re Done With Dating Apps)

A 36-year-old listener writes in with a question that many single men are asking right now: If dating apps aren't working, where do you actually meet women in real life? Like many people navigating modern dating, he's tired of swiping and wondering if there is a better way to meet someone. Should men be approaching women at grocery stores? Are bookstores, farmers' markets, hiking trails, and coffee shops still good places to start a conversation? Is going out alone a smart move, or has dating changed too much for that to work anymore? In this episode, Mel and Suzie share their honest perspectives on where men can realistically meet women today. They discuss why so many people have become dependent on dating apps, what women actually think about being approached in public, and whether old-school dating skills have become a lost art. They also explore why meeting people organically can feel harder than ever, how confidence impacts attraction, and what men can do if they're serious about finding a relationship outside the apps. She Dumped a Great Guy Because He Was Too Small. Was She Being Shallow?

A listener writes in with a dilemma that is guaranteed to divide opinions. After watching our "Does Size Matter?" video on YouTube, she sent in a story about her roommate, who recently ended a relationship because the sex wasn't giving her what she wanted. Now she's feeling guilty and wondering if she was too focused on one physical detail, or if sexual compatibility is a valid reason to walk away from an otherwise promising relationship. So where's the line between having preferences and being shallow? How important is sexual compatibility in a long-term relationship? And if something feels missing in the bedroom, is it fair to end things over it? Mel and Suzie dive into a conversation that many people avoid having out loud. They discuss attraction, intimacy, relationship dealbreakers, and whether women are really any different from men when it comes to physical preferences. It's honest, controversial, and guaranteed to spark debate. Was she being shallow, or was she simply being honest about what she needs? She Got Sober. I Stayed. But When Is Enough Enough?

A listener shares the story of a relationship defined by two painful realities: alcohol abuse and infidelity. For years, his partner's drinking led to chaos, broken trust, and repeated cheating. Friends and family told him to leave. He didn't. Time after time, he chose to stay, hoping things would change. Eventually, they did. Today, she is sober, their relationship is healthier, and life is far more stable than it once was. But while the drinking may be in the past, the memories aren't. The cheating, the lies, and the years of uncertainty still linger beneath the surface. In this episode, Mel and Suzie discuss the complicated intersection of addiction and accountability. Does alcohol explain bad behaviour? How many chances should someone get? And when a partner finally changes, can the damage from the past ever truly be left behind? It's an honest conversation about love, loyalty, forgiveness, and one question many people struggle to answer: When is enough enough? Passport Bros: Are Men Really Finding Better Relationships Abroad?

More and more men are looking beyond North America and Western Europe for love, claiming they can find more traditional values, stronger relationships, and better dating experiences abroad. But does it actually work? Mel and Suzie explore why some men are leaving the Western dating market, what women think about the Passport Bros movement, the realities of international dating, cultural differences, financial expectations, and whether moving across the world is really the answer to modern dating frustrations. Is this a genuine solution for men struggling to find love, or are there challenges that nobody talks about? Why Do Women Initiate 70% of Divorces, But Are Men Still to Blame?

In this episode of Sharing My Truth, Mel and Suzie dive into one of the most controversial relationship statistics out there: women initiate nearly 70% of divorces. But if women are the ones leaving, why do so many people still blame men for the collapse of modern marriages? Are men emotionally unavailable? Are women’s expectations unrealistic? Has social media, modern independence, and shifting gender roles changed marriage forever? From emotional labor and communication breakdowns to resentment, attraction, loneliness, and the pressure modern couples face, this conversation gets brutally honest about why marriages are failing, who’s walking away, and whether either side is actually happy with the current state of relationships. If you’ve ever wondered why so many couples seem disconnected, frustrated, or quietly miserable, this episode is for you. Want more honest dating advice from women who actually tell you the truth? Are Women the Problem in modern dating?

In this episode of Sharing My Truth, Mel and Suzie take on one of the biggest questions in modern dating: are women the problem? From impossible standards and dating apps to mixed signals, ghosting, unrealistic expectations, and the growing frustration from men, this conversation gets honest fast. The hosts break down what women are getting wrong in dating, where men are struggling, and why modern relationships feel harder than ever. They also debate whether social media, feminism, hookup culture, and “having too many options” have changed how women approach men and relationships. If you’ve ever wondered why dating feels broken, why so many people stay single, or why men and women seem more disconnected than ever, this episode is for you.
