This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit zeteo.uk Just 8 years ago, Misan Harriman was working in the city as a headhunter. Then, on his 40th birthday, his wife gave him a camera as a present, and the rest, as they say, is history. Since then, Misan’s rise to fame has been meteoric. He’s now an internationally renowned photographer whose photos reveal the human faces behind global protest movements, from BLM, climate, LGBTQ+ and pro-Palestine rallies. He’s also known for his portraiture of Hollywood celebrities, including intimate moments with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and their children. An activist at heart, Misan has a huge social media following and uses his platform to call out racism and social injustice, of all kinds. Yet it was his support for Gaza that led to controversy in the British press, with 4 right-wing newspapers claiming his views were “anti-semitic.” Now, in this intimate and in-depth interview for “Sangita Meets…” Sangita asks Misan about press culpability in the tragic death of British academic Jason Arday, how he responds to criticisms that he’s part of the British elite & what it means to be close friends with Prince Harry & Meghan Markle.
