Press Man Coverage | Titans 26, Colts 20: First Win. Defense and Special Teams Did It.

Send us Fan Mail The Titans got their first win of the season. It was not pretty, and the offense still has a long way to go. Defense and special teams took over in the second half and flipped a 13-0 hole at Lucas Oil Stadium. Titans 26, Colts 20. Tennessee is now 1-5. First win of the Saleh era. Colts outgained the Titans 399-186 and held the ball for nearly 39 minutes. They also turned it over three times, got sacked six times, and watched special teams change the game. Chimere Dike’s 58-yard punt return set up Cam Ward’s 8-yard touchdown to Carnell Tate. James Williams Sr. blocked a punt, and Femi Oladejo returned it for a score. Joey Slye went 4-for-4, including a 56-yarder and the go-ahead 49-yarder. Jeffery Simmons forced and recovered a Jonathan Taylor fumble and finished with two sacks. Jermaine Johnson added two more. Amani Hooker had 13 tackles and an interception. Cam Ward finished 11-of-22 for 102 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Tony Pollard had 76 yards on 19 carries. The offense found just enough. The rest of the team did the heavy lifting. In this episode: -How the Titans got out of a 13-0 hole -The six sacks and three takeaways -Special teams swinging the game -Carnell Tate’s first career touchdown -Why this is the kind of ugly win a rebuild needs -What’s next against the Browns What stood out most — the front, the special teams, or just finally getting one? Press Man Coverage | The Titans’ Year 3 Problem, and Saleh’s Year 1 Job

Send us Fan Mail The Titans are in rare air. Back-to-back 3-14 seasons in 2024 and 2025, then a 0-5 start in 2026. Three consecutive seasons of five or fewer wins almost never happens in the modern NFL. Most teams dig out of one bad year or a two-year hole. Three straight is usually a multi-year organizational failure. Robert Saleh is not the coach who dug that hole. He is Year 1. He inherited the two 3-14 seasons, Cam Ward in Year 2, Brian Daboll, and Mike Borgonzi. Now the question is what his vision is supposed to produce, and what history says a turnaround actually looks like once new leadership is in place. In this solo episode, Lem goes through the clearest modern comps of teams that posted five or fewer wins in consecutive seasons and what Year 3 looked like: -Cleveland Browns (1-15, 0-16, then 7-8-1 with Baker Mayfield) -Detroit Lions (0-16, 2-14, then 6-10 with a healthier Matthew Stafford) -Jacksonville Jaguars (1-15, 3-14, then 9-8 and a division title with Trevor Lawrence and Doug Pederson) -St. Louis Rams (2-14, 1-15, then 7-9) -The Titans’ own 2014–16 stretch (2-14, 3-13, then 9-7) Year 3 is rarely a contender. The realistic outcomes are usually 6–9 wins with some competence, or a sharper jump when a new competent coach pairs with a Year 2 high-end quarterback and better roster construction. The Jaguars and the Titans’ own previous rebuild are the optimistic markers. The Browns and Lions show how slow and incomplete the recovery can still be. Saleh has said one game will not define them and that this organization will have its day in the sun. The question is what that actually requires in his first year, and whether the current path matches the comps that eventually got out. In this episode: -How rare three straight seasons of five or fewer wins really is -What the first five games and full Year 3 looked like for the closest comps -How QB, head coach, and GM changes drove (or delayed) the bounce -Where Cam Ward and this first-year staff sit relative to those timelines -What a reasonable Saleh vision should produce in 2026 What does progress actually look like from here? Press Man Coverage | Battle of the Winless, and Houston Made It Look Easy | Is there ANY hope left?

Send us Fan Mail The Titans scored on their first drive. Then Houston shut them out the rest of the way. Texans 26, Titans 3. Tennessee is now 0-5. In a matchup of two winless teams, the visitors got their first win of the season and made it look like the clearer roster on the field. Joey Slye’s 30-yard field goal put Tennessee up 3-0. After that, Ka’imi Fairbairn kicked four field goals, C.J. Stroud scored on a 2-yard run, and he hit Jaylin Noel for a 9-yard touchdown. The Titans finished with a season-low 187 total yards. Two turnovers — a Tyjae Spears fumble and a Cam Ward interception — gave Houston short fields. Will Anderson Jr. sacked Ward three times, including on fourth-and-20 and fourth-and-19. Cam Ward finished 23-of-36 for 170 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception. He was sacked four times. After the game he said he is not a loser, even if the record says otherwise. Jeffery Simmons put it simpler: “We are not playing winning football right now.” Lem and Cody break down what was on tape and what was just the weight of five losses. In this episode: -Why the offense disappeared after the opening field goal -Cam Ward under pressure, and the pass protection step back -Will Anderson’s three-sack afternoon -The turnovers that kept Houston in field-goal range -What 0-5 actually means for this staff and this quarterback What’s the biggest problem right now — the line, the quarterback, or the identity? Press Man Coverage | The Wildcat, the Fumble, and a 0-4 Start | Titans at Ravens REACTION

Send us Fan Mail The Titans shut Baltimore out after halftime and still lost. Lamar Jackson left at the half with an ankle. Tyler Huntley was 8-of-9 for 63 yards. Tennessee did not give up another point. The score was already 24-7, and that hole was built before the break. In this solo recap of Titans 18, Ravens 24, we go through the series that decided it: first-and-goal at the 8, trailing 14-7, seven or eight straight snaps to Tony Pollard, zero passes, Cam Ward not under center, and a wildcat direct snap on fourth-and-goal from the 2. Stuffed. Baltimore answered with a 98-yard touchdown drive. That is a 14-point swing on one series. Cam Ward’s line was his best of the year: 20-of-31, 222 yards, a touchdown, an interception, and a 22-yard run that is a career long. Carnell Tate had the first real skill-player proof of the season — 9 catches, 145 yards — then fumbled at the end of a 33-yarder and watched Baltimore kick a 64-yarder. Derrick Henry was held to 73 yards on 23 carries. The defense did its job after the break. The offense still does not have a red-zone identity. In this episode: -The box score, and why two turnovers became 10 points -Daboll in the red zone, and the wildcat with the quarterback on the sideline -Cam Ward’s best game, and why it still is not a franchise leap -Carnell Tate’s 145, the fumble, and the missing touchdown -Why the offensive line is no longer the excuse -The snap counts: Anthony Hill at 100%, Cedric Gray at 28 They lost by six because the only series that could have tied it never threatened a pass. What should Daboll have called on fourth-and-goal? Drop it in the comments. Press Man Coverage is your home for all things Tennessee Titans. Press Man Coverage | When Do No. 1 QBs Actually Show It? Cam Ward’s Timeline

Send us Fan Mail This is not a “bench him” episode. It is not a “he’s the guy, shut up” episode. It is a timeline episode. The Titans are 0-3. Cam Ward is 20 games into his NFL career. Next is Baltimore. Lem goes solo on the only question that actually matters: how long is too long for a No. 1 pick? We put Ward next to the recent No. 1 quarterbacks and look at when the label usually sticks. Trevor Lawrence was 17 interceptions and 3-14 as a rookie, then 25 touchdowns and a playoff win in Year 2. Bryce Young got benched in Year 2 and is still the starter in Year 4. Caleb Williams, Kyler Murray, and Joe Burrow all had a Year 2 jump you could point at. Baker Mayfield got worse. Jared Goff’s label came after a trade. Ward’s Year 1 was 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns, and a 3-14 team, with a late-season heater nobody should pretend didn’t happen. Through three games in 2026 he is 55-of-88 for 504 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Completion percentage is up. Sack rate is down. The explosives and the scoring are not. The uncomfortable part: he got the staff change and the premium receiver in Year 2, and it has not popped yet. New coaches. Carnell Tate. Same offensive line problem. Three games is still a slump, not a verdict. In this episode: Where Cam actually sits after 20 games The No. 1 chart: who jumped in Year 2, who got benched, who never stuck Why the room around him matters The three clocks: October is too soon, January is the grade, spring 2027 is the decision What “improvement” should actually look like before Baltimore Three weeks is too soon to bury a No. 1 pick. A full Year 2 that looks like Year 1, with a better staff and a top-5 receiver, is how teams decide the clock ran out. What’s your clock on Cam? Drop it in the comments. Press Man Coverage | Stats Don’t Lie: Titans Won the Tape and Lost the Game - Titans vs Eagles RECAP

Send us Fan Mail The Tennessee Titans had the Philadelphia Eagles right where they wanted them. 20-17. Two minutes left. Two Jalen Hurts interceptions already in the bank. Cam Ward with two rushing touchdowns. Jeffery Simmons wrecking the interior. And then Hurts drove 65 yards in nine plays and hit Darius Cooper with nine seconds on the clock. Final: Eagles 24, Titans 20. Titans fall to 0-2. This is a solo recap of what actually happened in Nashville — not the vibes, the numbers. We break down: -How Tennessee flipped the Week 1 script (29 rushes, 122 yards, plus-2 in the turnover battle, 5.7 yards per play) -Cam Ward’s 13-of-20 for 183 yards, 0 INT, two 1-yard sneaks… and still -zero big-time throws through two weeks -Amani Hooker’s 92-yard pick and Marcus Harris’ late INT that should have been the win -Why DeVonta Smith (10-117-1) and an 11-of-18 third-down night ended it -Where the Titans rank after two games: 32nd in yards, 30th in passing, 6th in rush EPA, 29th in DVOA, and a PFF panic meter that is already on High The effort was there. The ending was the same old ending. Full episode on YouTube at @OutEastNetwork and on all major audio platforms. Press Man Coverage | Week 1 Was Ugly. Here’s What’s Fair — and What Isn’t

Send us Fan Mail Week 1 in Nashville was ugly. The Jets left Nissan Stadium with a 23-10 win, and four years of Titans frustration walked right into the conversation. In this episode of Press Man Coverage, we break down Titans vs Jets and talk about the difference between fair criticism and pure venom. Some of what we saw is real. Some of it is just the last four seasons boiling over. The tape was rough. Tennessee was outgained 367-195 and managed just 11 first downs. Cam Ward finished 19-of-32 for 140 yards and a touchdown, under pressure all afternoon. The run game never got going. Special teams gifted New York a short field. Breece Hall punched in a score while the Titans had 13 men on the field. The crowd booed the offense off the turf. There were slivers: Joey Slye’s first field goal of the year, Carnell Tate’s first NFL catch, and Ward’s touchdown dart to Elic Ayomanor. That was not enough to hide the rest of it. Fair shots are allowed. Blind rage is a different thing. We try to separate the two. What was fair after Week 1? Drop it in the comments. Press Man Coverage | How Many Games Will the Titans Win in 2026?

Send us Fan Mail The PMC crew is locking in their Titans record predictions for the 2026 season. In this episode of Press Man Coverage, Lem, Captain Cody, and Sauce each put a number on the board. No hedging. No “it depends.” We talk through Cam Ward’s Year 2 leap, Robert Saleh’s defense, Brian Daboll’s new offense, Jeffery Simmons, Carnell Tate, and whether this roster is a 6-win team, a playoff sneak, or something in between. The market has the Titans sitting around 6.5 wins. We debate if that’s fair — and what actually has to happen for Tennessee to beat it. In this episode: -Each host’s official 2026 record prediction -Why the running game matters for Cam Ward -What Saleh’s defense has to become -Which players swing the win total the most -Playoffs or another year of building? Press Man Coverage | AFC South PLAYER Tier List: Stroud, Lawrence, Taylor, Simmons & More

Send us Fan Mail We built a full AFC South tier list — and ranked the best players from every team in the division. In this episode of Press Man Coverage, we go team by team and put the biggest names on the board: C.J. Stroud, Trevor Lawrence, Daniel Jones, and Cam Ward at quarterback. Jonathan Taylor in the backfield. Nico Collins, Brian Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter, Alec Pierce, Carnell Tate, and Wan’Dale Robinson at receiver. Tyler Warren at tight end. Will Anderson Jr., Danielle Hunter, Derek Stingley Jr., Josh Hines-Allen, Jeffery Simmons, and more on defense. Plus the head coaches — DeMeco Ryans, Liam Coen, Shane Steichen, and Robert Saleh. Texans. Jaguars. Colts. Titans. Every roster got ranked. Some of these placements are going to start fights. Who actually has the best quarterback in the division? Is Jonathan Taylor in a tier by himself? Did we put the right Texans defenders too high — or not high enough? And where the Titans landed is going to make at least one fanbase lose it. Press Man Coverage | Titans 2-0… But Was That Actually Impressive? Seahawks Reaction

Send us Fan Mail Titans 19, Seahawks 16 — Preseason Week 2 reaction is locked in. The Tennessee Titans improved to 2-0 under first-year head coach Robert Saleh with a scrappy, come-from-behind win over the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks at Nissan Stadium. Seattle’s backups jumped out to a 16-3 first-quarter lead behind a 36-yard touchdown pass from Drew Lock to Elijah Arroyo and a 69-yard touchdown run by Jacardia Wright. Tennessee answered the only way this group knows how right now — grinding, special teams excellence, and late-game execution. Joey Slye was perfect on four field goals (including a 55-yarder), and D’Ernest Johnson punched in the go-ahead 2-yard touchdown with 5:45 left to seal the 19-16 victory. Cam Ward played three series (8-of-12, 69 yards), the starters on both sides of the ball had their issues, and Saleh made it clear afterward: “It’s got to be better. Guys, I’m not trying to sugar coat it.” A lot of Titans fans walked away disappointed with how the starters looked — especially the defense giving up two explosive scoring plays early against Seattle’s second unit. That frustration is real, and we’re digging into it. In this episode of Press Man Coverage, Lemuel, Captain Cody Moore, and Randy (Sauce) react to every major moment from Titans-Seahawks: • The early defensive breakdowns and the two big plays that put Tennessee in a hole • Cam Ward’s progress (and the remaining timing issues) • Special teams continuing to carry the load • Depth players stepping up when the starters struggled • What this win (and the film) actually means heading into the final preseason game vs. the Bears We break down the good, the bad, and the real takeaways as the Titans push toward the regular season. Press Man Coverage | Who Has the Most to Lose or Gain Before Preseason Week 2?

Send us Fan Mail Heading into Preseason Week 2, some Titans have a lot more on the line than others. In this episode of Press Man Coverage, we debate the players with the most to gain — and the most to lose — before the Titans face the Seattle Seahawks. We break down who is fighting for an actual roster spot versus who is battling for better depth chart positioning. We cover: -Cody Barton and the linebacker room competition -Tyjae Spears and his push for a bigger role in the backfield -JC Latham and the stakes of Year 3 at right tackle -Femi Oladejo, who flashed in the preseason opener and is pushing for a real edge rotation role -Plus several other names who could rise or fall quickly this week Some of these guys are trying to lock down starting jobs. Others are just trying to make the 53. We debate both sides and what another strong (or quiet) performance would mean heading into the joint practices and the second preseason game. Who do you think has the most to prove this week? Drop your take in the comments. Press Man Coverage is your home for all things Tennessee Titans. New episodes every week. Austin Stanley Joins Press Man Coverage | Titans Preseason, Cam Ward & the Rise of AtoZ Sports

Send us Fan Mail We’re joined by AtoZ Sports Co-Founder Austin Stanley for a deep dive on the Tennessee Titans. Austin has covered the Titans since 2013 and co-founded AtoZ Sports in 2016. He’s one of the most consistent and recognizable voices in Titans media, hosting the flagship AtoZ show, Titan Game Day coverage, and NFL Draft Live content for years. In this conversation we talk about the birth and growth of AtoZ Sports, some of the real inside stories from covering the team, and how the media landscape around the Titans has changed. We also break down the Titans’ first preseason game — a 19-13 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Cam Ward had an up-and-down night (5-of-12 for 57 yards), but the running game looked strong and Joey Slye was perfect, including multiple 50+ yard field goals. We discuss what stood out, what still needs work, and Cam Ward’s long-term outlook under Robert Saleh. Finally, we look ahead to the upcoming joint practices with the Seattle Seahawks and what those sessions could tell us about this Titans roster. This is an honest, wide-ranging conversation with one of the most plugged-in Titans voices in Nashville. Drop your thoughts on the preseason opener and Cam’s trajectory in the comments.
