#114 LUMBERJACK TALL TALES

Send us Fan Mail Welcome back to Phantom Journeys Podcast! This time, we're heading deep into the woods, where the trees are tall, the stories are even taller, and the truth… well, that's sometimes a little harder to find. Before the days of television, the internet, and social media, lumberjacks spent long days working in some of the most remote places imaginable. Around the campfire, stories grew and grew. Tales of incredible strength, impossible feats, strange creatures, and larger-than-life characters became part of the folklore of the American frontier. But were these stories simply entertainment, exaggerated over generations… or could some of them have been inspired by something real? Join Matt and Ken as Phantom Journeys explores the wild world of Lumberjack Tall Tales. Where fact, folklore, humor, and the unexplained sometimes get tangled together. So grab your axe, watch your back, and whatever you do… Don't believe everything you hear in the woods. This is Phantom Journeys Podcast, bringing the unexplained to your earholes!

#111 - Kẻ Vô Hình

Send us Fan Mail What if something could be standing right beside you… and you would never know it was there? In Vietnamese folklore, Kẻ Vô Hình, often translated as “The Unseen,” describes the mysterious world of supernatural beings, spirits, shapeshifters, sorcerers, and entities that exist beyond ordinary human perception. But the idea of the unseen goes much deeper than simply being invisible. Across Vietnamese and Southeast Asian folklore, stories tell of beings that can disguise themselves, change their form, influence the living, and move between the familiar world and something far stranger. Some are feared. Some are respected. And some are simply things people learn not to speak about after dark. In this episode of Phantom Journeys, we explore the folklore and legends surrounding Kẻ Vô Hình, from supernatural practitioners and shapeshifting beings to creatures whose stories have survived for generations. Where does folklore end and belief begin? And if something truly could remain hidden from us… How would we ever know it was there? Join us on Phantom Journeys as we step into the world of Kẻ Vô Hình: The Unseen. Visit phantomjourneys.co

#109 - Poltergeist Part II

Send us Fan Mail Last time, we explored the strange world of poltergeist activity, unexplained knocks, objects moving on their own, voices from nowhere, and disturbances that seem to appear around ordinary people. But tonight, we're going deeper. Because there are cases where the stories don't come from a single witness… or a rumor passed down through generations. There are cases with photographs. Recordings. Police reports. Investigators. Witnesses. And one of the most famous of them all took place in a quiet house in North London. In 1977, the Hodgson family began experiencing something they couldn't explain. Furniture moved. Knocks came from inside the walls. Objects appeared to fly across rooms. And then came something even more disturbing… A voice. A voice that seemed to come from one of the children. The events at Enfield would eventually attract police officers, journalists, paranormal investigators, skeptics, and believers from around the world. Some would call it one of the best-documented hauntings in history. Others would call it an elaborate hoax. And somewhere between those two explanations lies a story that is still debated nearly fifty years later. This is Part Two of our journey into the world of poltergeists. This is the Enfield Poltergeist.
