I’ve spent the better part of a decade yelling about metal on the internet, and now I’m doing it here.

I’m Greg Kennelty — a longtime metal journalist, editor, and self-proclaimed professional opinion-haver. Over the years I’ve written thousands of articles, interviewed hundreds of bands, argued with strangers about inconsequential things like what metal is, and somehow made a career out of caring way too much about riffs.

I was a Freelancer and then Head Editor of Metal Injection for a collective 13 years. These days I’m also a freelancer at Gear Gods, Loudwire, and Decibel Magazine. Now I've got this podcast and a Substack that offers dedicated weekly metal newsletters.
