MARMCAST Episode 58: Rob
Welcome to Episode 58!! This week the boys jump straight into discussing poor quality (and high quality) 1980's sitcoms. From Dear John to Bread. Sunday nights of horrors. Talking of horrors, Andy barely survived a hornet sting, but lived to tell the tale. He was nearly killed. Parkrun Parables features Andre discussing the Winter Course at Arrow Valley. Again. He may have mentioned it already. Talking of badly kept secrets - it is Andy's 100 Voluteer parkrun credit tomorrow. Please don't mention it, it will only embarrass him. Rob Crowe joins us for some 1960's based Goldy on Guitar, where all of the song titles are clearly in the verse, but BEST of all, he stays online for a new version of Guess The Number. And this version of the game is FIRE! The boys ask the Strava Club for the race they'd run again and again and get some lovely read outs, as well as your emails - which are full of advice! Tim drones on about the new Adidas Pro 5, which are on their way directly back to the store, whilst Andy pretend to be interested, with the Vitality 10K round the corner for Tim and the Big Bear Petzl Night Trail for Andy. MARMCAST Episode 57: Lee & Ted
Welcome to Episode 57!! The mullet has gone, yes gone! Is MARM half the man he was? Absolutely not clearly. The boys discuss the full spec of Andy's new Stepway, as well as the merits of Tentboxes. Parkrun Parables is null and void, although Andy had a huge milestone coming up from an organisational point of view, which will be well, well worth celebration. Lee Hart-Hunt joins us for some 1990's based Goldy on Guitar and boardgame banter. Yes, board games! Lee is a dice wielding legend of outrageous proportions. MARMCAST Episode 56: David
Welcome to Episode 56!! Its a less lengthy episode tonight, the boys get stuck into the running chat straightaway by discussing the Directors Cut of Rocky 4 and the Godfather 3. Lengthy time is also given to the bullying of siblings. Parkrun Parables has Andy discussing the secret new course reveal at Arrow Valley whilst Tim was pulverised by an Olympian at a parkrun for which he had been on a winning streak. David Atkins joins us for some 1980's based Goldy on Guitar and drops a shameless plug for the Ironbridge Half 2027. The boys ask the Strava Club for the strangest place they've ever listened to MARMCAST. Dudley and Hinckley turn out to be winners. MARMCAST Episode 55: Doccers
Welcome to episode 55!! Its a lengthy episode tonight, Tim has a new mullet and Andy has visited a shoe shop called Pavers. It's pure comfort in an almost espadrille. Parkrun Parables has Andy eating humble pie, as the test event for the new Arrow Valley course falls flat. Will he have more luck on the morrow. The Doc Meister General is given the keys to the MARMCAST Green Room and we get our first peek into his Gym Dungeon. Technical issues may have put paid to Goldy this week, but the Doc talks Adidas Pro 5, Alphafly 4 and the con that is, the running gait assessment. He even tries to rescue Guess My Number....Unsuccessfully. Andy and Tim have a race leaderboard to assess, and this week Timberhonger, Pershore and Antrim Coast Hlaf get the 4 part Ranking test. MARMCAST 53: Sally
After a week away, Tim has returned from Cornwall, full of the joys of Coastal Running and Holiday Park Wifi, as well as entertainment, bedding and 5 star awarding. It's a bumper Parkrun Parables this week. Tim discusses his trip to the Lost Gardens of Helligan, proving Andy right and the joys of adventure. Andy is in the empties this weekend, as he has to change his parkrun plans due to a late withdrawal from Stu. Sally from Kilmarnock drops in to play another 80's themed Goldy with some panache. There is a wonderful game of "Guess my Number" with an almost extraordinary outcome, whilst Tim discusses how to make the Solihull Half Marathon in any way different. MARMCAST Episode 49: James
Welcome to MARMCAST!! It's Episode 49!! We are back!! From a week off!! As well as finally revealing plans for the Jane McDonald MARMCAST Summer Running Challenge, the boys chat to parkrun expert James from North Devon (originally Banbury) who takes on perhaps the laziest Goldy on Guitar ever. The boys discuss their own parkrun exploits including (of course) Arrow Valley, Evesham and MARM's mindless Cannon Hill loyalty. Even he doesn't know why. The Strava club gets a revisit and Davy finally gets his letter read aloud after 9 months waiting! MARM reviews the ridiculously hilly Stow on the Wold 10K, and the hills of the Cleobury Mortimer 10K are planned this Sunday as the boys try to work out which one of them came up with the idea to enter. Welcome to MARMCAST!! It's Episode 39!! Tim and Andy record one last pod before next week's break for Andy to go to Kent.
