This week on Man Like You, Mo Gilligan, Babatunde Aléshé and Eddie Kadi are back with another conversation that somehow goes from professional fighters and getting punched in the face… to Velcro, missing underwear, robot Hoovers and why Baba absolutely hates hypothetical questions. The boys ask what everyday thing could disappear tomorrow and completely break society? Sat nav? Contactless payments? Fridges? Dogs?! What starts as a simple question quickly descends into classic Man Like You chaos — including the terrifying prospect of a world without clothes. But amongst the madness, things get deeper as the boys ask: what actually makes a man respected? Is it money and status, or is real respect built through leadership, consistency, boundaries, vulnerability and simply being someone people can rely on? They also unpack why showing emotion can still be difficult for men — particularly Black men — and why vulnerability can sometimes command more respect than trying to appear tough.
