does anyone actually regret having kids

Do you regret having kids? Or do you regret not having them? Be real. I asked that on this episode and I genuinely want to know, because Manon Mathews and I don't totally agree. She thinks the regret of not having them lasts way longer than anyone who regrets having them. I told her about a whole account of parents anonymously admitting the opposite. By the end, we'd both moved a little. If you've ever been on the fence, then this one's for you. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

    My idea of hell...

My cycle app says nine days until my period, and I woke up already in it. Sore, irritable, emotions turned all the way up, and parenting while PMS, which is honestly my idea of hell. So today I go through all four phases of the cycle and why they feel more intense now that I'm 40, what the research says about the best kind of parenting and where I actually land, and then I call my mom, because sometimes you just need your mommy. She's in the thick of it with my dad's physical therapy, which he has decided is karate. Come along. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

My Ex-Husband Comes Back From Rock Bottom

Stephen doesn't fully recognize the person he was during his relapse. Honestly, neither do I. He's my ex-husband, and today he tells me what actually happened during the year I only saw from the outside -- the restraining order, an FBI investigation into threats we now know he never sent, and a trip to Moldova for a medically induced detox. A year sober later, he's back in our kids' lives, and back on my couch as a friend. Come sit with me. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

    Her dream crush 😍

My friend Manon Matthews came here straight from an energy healing in Topanga, a birthday gift, and it mostly made her tired. By the end she'd sworn she's never seeing a psychic again, and I gave her about a week. We also get into the dream crush she told her entire in-laws about at breakfast, the party I throw in the car on the way to school, why every massage should be 90 minutes, and why women seem to end relationships out of nowhere. Pregnant at 14 turned law professor

Has one person ever stood between you and the version of your life where you quit? Amie has one, and hers would not sign a piece of paper. She walked in to withdraw from college while her first marriage was falling apart. Her professor told her to come back tomorrow, and then handed it back unsigned, because she had talked it over with the other professors and they all thought that if they let her go she would not come back. Amie finished with a 4.0 while raising four kids. She teaches now, she runs a legal studies program, and in 2025 she won professor of the year. If somebody once refused to let you quit, then this one's for you. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

She Was a WWE Champion. Then Childbirth Left Her Unable to Walk.

Have you ever gotten hurt doing the most normal thing in the world and had almost no one believe you? Same. Former WWE Superstar Leah Van Dale spent years in the ring without a single major injury, and then went into labor with her first son and came out with nerve damage in her leg. We talk about that, plus the WWE title she won by cheating, meeting her husband while he was technically still married, and why she built an entire podcast around being a mom who refuses to stop being hot. If any of that sounds familiar, then this one's for you. And remember to subscribe to my Patreon at Patreon.com/lauraclery for exclusives and other perks. Learn more about your ad choices. the hardest part of motherhood

My son can't be left alone for ten seconds — I found that out again this morning when he hopped our front gate in his boxers and beat me to school on his own scooter. By the time I caught up he was mid-meltdown on campus, and I walked away scratched and bitten and trying not to spiral. I get into what actually helped — a book I'm currently obsessed with, the exact phrases I use to talk him down, and why I think last night's birthday-party sugar had a lot to do with it. Then we lighten it way up: my daughter's new favorite phrase, a week of creatine and some concerning bloat, and whether it's a bad idea to bring my ex-boyfriend to a wedding in Cabo. can men and women actually be friends?

How are you doing today, on a scale of one to ten? I ask because I've had a wildly up-and-down week -- feral ovulation, a UTI supplement I will die on a hill for, and a very failed attempt at celibacy. I opened Facebook up to any question, and today I answer every single one of them, including the ones I probably shouldn't have. Come along. i don't want to do this anymore

I don't think I like doing these solo episodes anymore. I said it out loud and I'm not taking it back. So today's a real one -- my throat's doing something disgusting, I'm restructuring the whole show, my son's about to try surfing for the first time, and I somehow ended up reading a horny romance novella and diagnosing myself as a love addict. come sit with me while I figure out what this show even is now. If your child has Autism, watch this, with Dr. Robert Melillo

When this doctor was told his child’s diagnosis, he was told he couldn’t do anything about it. He thought that was wrong. So Dr. Robert Melillo dove into how the brain works to try to figure out the cause of conditions like autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. You won’t believe what he found. And he now treats it all by changing the brain. It’s pretty mind-blowing and better yet hopeful. Jump into how the left side and right side of the brain work with me. I found out my brain is probably out of balance. Maybe yours is, too? As a reminder, my new book What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Hotter is available wherever books are sold. my mom loves drag

My mom is at it again, bringing surprise opinions and stories of yesteryear. Like, did you know when she was growing up there was a dance every Friday and Saturday night? Or that she is one of 9 brothers and sisters? Or that she LOVES “RuPaul’s Drag Race”? We also talk about me having a night away from the kids where I hung with my besties, hit the beach, and had an intense spa treatment. I also met a queen who went wild on some straight boys. It was quite a night. So join us as we discuss this and more. Plus, as a reminder, my new book What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Hotter is available wherever books are sold. She turned it all around

I’m so excited to share the story of Sarah, another of my Patreon followers and a true inspiration. She tells me about how she got into drinking and weed at a young age, and how that snowballed into more extreme using until she was out of control. But better yet, she explains how she went from a desperate addict to an amazing mom and wife and person after she got sober. Sarah is so open and honest, it’s really incredible. And she hopes talking about her journey will help people out there with theirs. So come along for the laughs and the cringes and the ultimately inspiring story Sarah has to tell. She might be the first YouTuber

It’s summer break for the kids and that means one thing - no break for parents. I’m spending a little time today between frantically attempting to entertain my two children to hang out with OG YouTuber and all-around smart, funny, and amazing woman Grace Helbig. She’s been posting her videos since about 2008 and she knows the content game inside out. And like me, she sometimes ponders getting out altogether and moving to a cabin in the woods. Do you have a child on the autism spectrum and feel like you've hit a wall? Meet Kat. She's a lawyer, a mom, a runner, and she just happens to know more about the biomedical side of autism than most doctors I've met. She's my very first listener guest!. Anyway, Kat came ready. We talked gut health, stem cells, supplements, insurance nightmares, and the thing that's actually moving the needle for her son. I'm getting Alfie tested. That's how good this episode is. Did I plan a 600 pound refrigerator falling on me to promote my book? According to TikTok, yes. Absolutely. One hundred percent. Today I'm going solo to talk conspiracy theories, PTSD, my first ever personal training session, a five year old who refuses lipstick on principle, and what I actually do when the negative thoughts get loud.
