The Only Survivor Of The Pentagon’s E-Ring: A 9/11 Miracle
Twenty-five years after the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Honorable Brian Birdwell returns to the Pentagon with a story of survival that can only be described as miraculous. On September 11, 2001, Hon. Birdwell was working in the Pentagon’s outer E-Ring between Corridors 4 and 5—directly in the path of American Airlines Flight 77. Birdwell and his family clung to their faith, trusting God through circumstances they never would have chosen—and witnessing His faithfulness along the way. Now, 25 years later, Birdwell’s story has come full circle. After more than a decade of service in the Texas Senate, he is once again working inside the Pentagon—this time as Assistant Secretary of War for Sustainment.
