    Daily Devotionals: Letting Go of Worry

    In this episode we focus on worry and how it pulls attention toward the future. We reflect on Matthew 6:34, which says not to worry about tomorrow because each day has its own concerns. We discuss how worry can feel productive, as if we are preparing or staying ahead, but it does not solve problems. Instead, it drains peace and shifts attention to things we cannot control. We then turn to the idea of focusing on today. We are encouraged to handle what is in front of us, trust God with what is beyond our control, and recognize that peace comes from trust rather than from trying to control the future. We close with a prayer asking for help to release worry, return to the present moment, and rest in God’s care and faithfulness.     Daily Devotionals: Trust God With Today

    In this devotional, we reflect on how easy it is to feel overwhelmed by everything ahead and how we are not meant to carry the whole future at once. We read from Proverbs 3:5-6, which calls us to trust in the Lord with all our heart, not lean on our own understanding, and acknowledge him in all our ways. We talk about how worry often grows when we try to think about tomorrow, next week, and every possible outcome at once. Instead, we are reminded that God does not ask us to solve the entire future. He asks us to trust him with today and take the next step even without all the answers. We focus on narrowing our attention to what is in front of us now. The message is that when we do that, what felt overwhelming becomes more manageable, because today is where God’s grace meets us. We close by praying for help to trust God with today, to rely on him instead of our own understanding, and to take one step at a time in peace, believing that he is guiding us forward.     Consequences, Repentance, and God’s Strength

    In Episode 95 of Bible Bytes, we continue our "People in the Bible in Prison" series by examining the captivity of Samson in Judges 16. Unlike Joseph, whose imprisonment resulted from unjust suffering, Samson's captivity came after years of compromise, poor decisions, and spiritual drift. Blinded, bound, and forced into prison by the Philistines, Samson's story serves as a powerful reminder that even those greatly blessed by God are not immune to the consequences of disobedience. Together, we explore how small compromises can gradually lead believers away from God's best, the reality that our choices often carry lasting consequences, and the danger of relying upon our own strength instead of depending upon the Lord. Samson's life challenges us to examine areas where we may be ignoring spiritual warning signs and encourages us to pursue obedience, humility, and faithfulness in our daily walk with God.
