The eX-Files: The X-Files 3.12 War of the Coprophages
We hate that you have to hear it from us, but there are roaches simply EVERYwhere in this episode! In the basement, in your buddy’s makeshift drug lab, in the bathroom, in the motel, even in the poop warehouse. Egads! At least there’s a cute little robot to help take the edge off… and also our new gal pal Dr. Bambi. But let’s face it, this is no place for an entomologist! Today we’re talking about Season 3, Episode 12: War of the Coprophages.

The eX Files: The X-Files 3.11 Revelations
Welcome to The eX-Files, a Beyond Buffering podcast where hosts Jenny Owen Youngs and Kristin Russo cover The X-Files one episode at a time, spoiler free. Since the beginning of the series, we’ve been wondering what the limit might be on what Fox Mulder is willing to believe (if the limit does indeed exist)… and in S3E11, “Revelations,” we have found it. Stigmata? Guardian angels?? A fiery-handed demon?! Sorry, Mulder’s filing cabinet is suddenly at capacity! Scully, however, finds herself Wan

The eX Files: The X-Files 3.07 The Walk and 3.08 Oubliette
An episode we didn’t like at all and episode we kinda liked, actually!! Together in one pod we’ve got thoughts on “death by boiling” (sorry), child kidnapping (WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS, X-FILES), and perhaps most importantly why Kristin has started to like (some of) this show despite how often she has to yell at it?! It’s Season 3, Episodes 7 “The Walk,” and Episode 8 “Oubliette.” PS: A Correction! When Kristin said that Emily St. James wrote X-Files Confidential what she ACTUALLY MEANT was Mo

The eX Files: The X-Files 3.06 2Shy
Just another fat-sucking, misogynist vampire on the internet for your Thursday! It's Season 3, Episode 6, "2Shy" and all we really have to say is... f*ck off, Virgil! Producer LaToya Ferguson gives this episode a scary ranking of 5/5 LATOYA OFFICIALLY* QUITS THE PODCAST (*Not really, but you people can’t force her to actually watch this episode until she’s good and ready. So this is the rating, until she decides otherwise.)

The eX Files: The X-Files 3.05 The List
Welcome to The eX-Files, a Beyond Buffering podcast where hosts Jenny Owen Youngs and Kristin Russo cover The X-Files one episode at a time, spoiler free. Apart from Kristin learning more about flies and maggots, nearly everything else that we have to wade through in this episode is wildly problematic! In between racist wardens and horrible prison systems we find a tale of reincarnation (or, transmigration, perhaps?) that is confusing enough to leave even Mulder and Scully confused by the end

A veritable smorgasbord of both psychics and Buffering jingles converge for one of The X-Files most beloved episodes, S3E4 "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose." We've got Peter Boyle, questions about the meaning of life, Jenny feeling all kinds of feelings, and Kristin returning to her crystal ball (adding to the veritable smorgasbord of psychics) to find out more about Scully's NEW DOG.

The eX-Files: The X-Files 3.03 DPO
Giovanni Ribisi and Jack Black love to play video games and one of them also likes to BE LIGHTENING AND MURDER PEOPLE?! We have incel vibes a-plenty, a sheriff who is the patriarchy jingle embodied, beer bottles all over the front lawn, and Scully finally (finally!) getting her autopsy groove back. It's Season 3, Episode 3: "DPO".

Once that’s done, we’re headed to a boxcar to dig up Mulder, to Martha's Vineyard to demand answers from Mrs. Mulder, to hypnotherapy with Scully, and to Skinner's office where his shiny little head is looking better than ever. 'Tis Season 3, Episode 1: "The Blessing Way." Producer LaToya Ferguson gives this episode a scary ranking of 1.15/5 Homicide Victims’ Bodies Discovered at City Dump
