Baseless in 10+: Jays vs Tigers
The Jays’ series against the Tigers took years off our lives, but somehow, we’re still here. After two brutal losses, including one genuine heartbreaker and one game so miserable we could barely watch, the Jays finally gave us something to celebrate with a much-needed win in Game 3. With nine games left and Toronto just 1.5 games back of the final Wild Card spot, we attempt to understand the playoff math, reassess our confidence levels and reveal exactly how we cope when watching the Jays becomes too stressful. Spoiler: there’s stress eating, pacing and occasionally abandoning the game entirely for the garden. Lia’s brother Nick joins us and gets immediately dragged into our nonsense. We talk Kazuma Okamoto’s heroics, Josh Smith’s very hot defence, Nathan Lukes quietly getting it done and the players who hurt us most. Plus, we introduce Ex-Boyfriend of the Series, because after these three games, Boyfriend of the Series simply wasn’t enough.

The Jays may have lost the series to the Athletics, but we refuse to let that kill the vibes. In this episode of Baseless in 10+, we recap a disappointing three-game series that included a heartbreaking Game 1 comeback that fell just short, a much-needed Game 2 win and an absolutely brutal Game 3 shutout.
