Katie Van Slyke - Katching Up With KatieA Class For Everyone? | Interview With Lainie DeBoer
My first KVS Podcast guests are here, and they’ve got me dreaming BIG for Kennedy and Weezy! 🐴
I’m sitting down with Lainie DeBoer and Sarah Elder Chabot to talk about the English Versatility Challenge, what makes American Quarter Horses so versatile, and how they’re helping bring new excitement to the AQHA hunter world. From trot poles and lead changes to opportunities for horses and riders at different levels, we’re breaking down what makes this class so special!
After some saddle fitting and lessons here on the farm, I’m excited to share what we’re working toward with Kennedy, including helping my Western pleasure girl find her English stride! We also chat about the VS Code Red-sponsored series, the English Versatility Challenge at the AQHA World Show, and my upcoming adventure behind the commentary microphone. 🎙️
I loved hearing how much heart these ladies have put into creating more opportunities for horses and the people who love them. Of course, we squeeze in old horse show memories, buckle talk, and a little convincing that I should try jumping! 💕
Would you try English Versatility with your horse? And who would you love to see join me on the KVS Podcast next? Let me know in the comments!
