Conic Sections: When Life Changes Shape

A circle, ellipse, parabola, and hyperbola can all emerge from the same cone; only the angle of intersection changes. When a new season causes life to take on an unfamiliar shape, we may assume our foundation has disappeared. Conic sections remind us that changing circumstances do not necessarily mean the underlying source has changed.
