Ep. 17: Are You Waiting on God… or Procrastinating?
www.instagram.com/Christcenteredcreativitypod Okay, so I have to be transparent with you all. I caught myself doing something, and I need to talk about it because I just know I'm not the only one! I kept saying, "I'm waiting on God." And listen, that sounds so spiritual, right? But when I actually sat with it, I had to ask myself… am I genuinely waiting, or am I just scared to move? This episode is that conversation. The honest one. In this episode, we get into: → What it actually means to tarry and why idle waiting is not the same as faithful expectation → My personal testimony about analysis paralysis, and what fear dressed up as patience actually looks like → How we can miss opportune moments by calling procrastination "waiting on God" → What faith in action looks like BEFORE a word comes to pass, practically and spiritually → Why God doesn't always give us the full blueprint and why that's okay → How to stop overthinking the "right" way to do something and just take the next step. If God has already told you what to do and you've been sitting on it, this one is for you... and me. What's the next faithful step He told you to take? Go do that. Drop a comment and let me know what resonated with you in today's episode. I want to hear from you! Ep. 16: FOMO & The Narrow Road: The Real Cost of Creating for God's Glory
www.instagram.com/Christcenteredcreativitypod Can we talk about the part nobody really talks about? The part where following God's will for your creative life actually costs you something. Not in a vague, churchy way, but in a "that opportunity went to someone else and it genuinely stings" kind of way. Because here's the thing: a lot of us have been building our creative lives on a foundation shaped more by the world than we realized. Hustle culture, self-promotion, being everywhere, doing everything and we absorbed all of it before we even knew to question it. And when God starts showing you a different path? There's grief in that. This episode is for the creative in a pivot. The one letting go of a version of their life they really wanted, but soon realized it may not align with what God has written for their journey. In this episode we get into: → The residue the world leaves on how we view success, career, and entrepreneurship (Romans 12:2) → The grief that comes with dying to self and why it's okay to actually mourn the brand trip, the job opportunity, the dream collab that may not be your story → How FOMO opens the door to comparison, envy, and eventually resenting God for “promises” He never actually made → The lie that your life as a creative is supposed to be fast-paced, exciting, and full of big moments (and what faithful stewardship can look like in a slow season) → Why being set apart extends beyond your morals into how you approach your work, your brand, and your creative decisions → What it looks like to genuinely surrender your expectations to God The narrow road has a cost. But it also has a peace that the wide road can't offer. If you've been measuring your life against someone else's highlight reel, this one is for you. Drop a comment and let me know where you are in this journey. We’re in this together! Ep 15: Showing Up In Excellence & Avoiding Mediocrity
www.instagram.com/Christcenteredcreativitypod Can I be honest with you all? I got comfortable. Like, "okay, this is fine, this is working, let's just keep it moving," comfortable. And God had to check me on that, because 'okay' is not the same as excellent. This episode is a real one. We're talking about what it actually looks like to show up in excellence as a believer, not just having the gifts, not just having the favor, but doing the work to match it. In this episode, we get into: → Why having talent and God's favor doesn't automatically mean we're showing up well (entitlement is sneaky, y'all!) → The difference between a builder's mindset and a "this is good enough" mindset → The pregnancy analogy that put things into perspective for me: you can't neglect the toddler because you have a new baby on the way! → What it means to be an ambassador of Christ in your professional life, your client relationships, and your creative work → How to do an honest audit of where you've been falling short, and what to actually do about it This episode came from a personal place. I had to look at Christ Centered Creativity, this very podcast + community, and admit I hadn't been watering it. And if you've noticed you haven't been watering what God entrusted you with, it's not too late to get back to it! Do your audit this week: Where can you show up better? Start there. A reminder: There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1) Another Reminder: Always take everything I say, and anything anyone else says, back to the Lord and make sure it's aligned with God's Word. Ep. 14: Create More Than You Scroll | Social Media, Stewardship & Staying Focused
Okay, so… this one is very much a convicting episode. And before I say anything, no judgment, because I am very much in this with you all. We need to talk about social media. Not in a "delete everything and go live in the woods" kind of way, but in a real, honest, 'what is excessive scrolling actually doing to us?' kind of way. The same platforms we're using to create for God's glory can become the very thing keeping us from the work He's called us to. And that's... a problem. In Ep. 14 of CCC we get into: → How idleness, distraction, and comparison all sneak in when we have no real boundaries on our scrolling → The lust of the eyes, and how watching someone else do what God told you to do can give a false sense of progress → Why endless "research" scrolling counts too (yes, this can still be procrastination) → How scrolling actually costs you energy, and why you might be more drained than you realize → What it means to steward your time well and why God is paying attention to that → Reflection questions to ask yourself before you open the app → The CCC Community Challenge, a voluntary, grace-filled way to start protecting your creative hours You were made to create, not just consume. The world needs what God put in you, and we can't keep letting the scroll bury it. This week's challenge: work on your God-given assignment before you open a single app. That's it. Start there. Let me know in the comments if you're taking the challenge; I want to cheer you on! Ep. 13: Did God Send You, or Did You Send Yourself? | Selfish Ambition & Counterfeit Opportunities
www.instagram.com/Christcenteredcreativitypod.com Okay, so… I'm back 😅 Listen, life has been...life'n, and I owe you all a whole explanation, which is exactly what this episode is. Season 2 is here, and we're kicking it off with a real chat about where I've been and what God has taught me. Episode 13 // Season 2, Episode 1: "Did God Send You, or Did You Send Yourself?" So here's the real: I thought God was calling me back to school. And maybe He was… eventually. But I jumped ahead, moved out of season, and learned the hard way what happens when you act on a partial word before God is done speaking. Spoiler: it doesn't go the way you planned. In this episode, we dive into: → How selfish ambition can disguise itself as a God-given direction (it's sneaky!) → The difference between doing something God told you to do vs. doing it out of season → Why waiting matters, and what happens when we get impulsive with a word God isn't finished giving us yet → Me being honest about feeling down and struggling through this season (depression is real, y'all) → How getting up to film this episode was literally me choosing to stand, and why that matters → How to discern: did God send you, or did you send yourself? Also, I want to emphasize that this is a COMMUNITY, not just a podcast. We're thinking big picture here, so I'd love to know where you need support and how this community could help you in those areas! *Scripture References:* Job 5:17 (KJV)1 Cor. 10:23-24 (NIV) Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV) Proverbs 19:2 (NIV) Ephesians 6:13 (NIV) Romans 8:28 (NIV) Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) Timestamps: 0:00 - Intro 1:59 - Where have I been? Ep. 12: You don’t need their creative gifts, you just need to recognize yours! | Overcoming Envy
We’re going out with a bang for the Season 1 Finale of Christ Centered Creativity!👀 Today, we’re talking about Envy and how to overcome envying other people’s creative gifts as Christian creatives. God has placed unique gifts within all of us, and it’s important we focus on being good stewards of those gifts instead of falling into the trap of envying how God is using others. Because the truth is, you don’t need their creative gifts, you just need to recognize YOURS!💕 Disclaimer: Always take what I say (and what anyone else says) back to the Lord(:💕 Scripture References: James 3:14-15 (NIV) James 3:16 (NIV, KJV) Ecclesiastes 4:4 (NLT) Matthew 25:15 (NIV) Matthew 25:29 (NIV) Proverbs 4:25 (KJV) 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (NIV) Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ChristCenteredCreativityPod Email: Christcenteredcreativitypod@gmail.com Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ArtbyJadaSamone

Ep. 11: How to Use Chat GPT with Integrity As A Christian Creative
In today’s episode of Christ Centered Creativity, we’re discussing ChatGPT and how we can avoid making it an Idol as Christian Creatives. ChatGPT is a great resource, but we must use it in a way that is surrendered to God’s will so that we don’t fall into the trap of being overly reliant or co-dependent on it. If we’re honest, artificial intelligence ain’t got nothing on God’s intelligence! Ep. 10: The Idolization of Artistic Expression & Aesthetics | It’s not “just art”
Have you made art and idol? In today’s episode of Christ Centered Creativity, we’re talking about the Idolization of Artistic Expression and Aesthetics. As Christian creatives, we must be mindful of what we consume creatively through movies, music, and entertainment because what we consume, we become. Believe it or not, art is not “just art.” We have an enemy looking to see who he can deceive, and guess what? A common way he does this is through art and entertainment! Join me in today’s episode as we discuss why it’s important we’re being led with discernment (through the Holy Spirit) so that we’re not being deceived by artistic expression, aesthetics, talent, and what things look like on the surface without looking deeper. Ep. 9: Is a TikTok trend worth causing someone else to stumble? | Stewarding Influence Well
In today’s episode of Christ Centered Creativity, we’re diving into the importance of stewarding the influence God has blessed us with and doing so well! When God blesses us with a platform, our main goal should be to glorify Jesus and point people to Christ. As Christian influencers and creatives, we must consider others above ourselves while stewarding our influence because the last thing we want to do is cause others to stumble on their walk with Christ. In this episode, we’ll be discussing why we should submit our platforms/ influence to God, being mindful of who and what we choose to endorse to our audience, and why it’s so important we look deeper into things before suggesting it to others. If you’re a Christian creator of any kind with influence (spoiler alert: we ALL have influence), this episode is for you! Join me as we look into the Word of God to see how we can be better stewards over the platforms He’s blessed us with(: Disclaimer: Always take everything I say (and what anyone else says) back to the Lord/ His Word). Ep. 7: God’s Creative Investment - Why Starting Is More Important Than Perfecting
Welcome back to Christ Centered Creativity! In today’s episode, we’re diving into a topic that many creatives struggle with: perfectionism. We’ve all been there before, waiting for the “perfect” idea, the “perfect” resources, or the “perfect” moment to get started. But what if God’s not waiting for your perfection? What if He’s just waiting for you to take that first step? We're talking about why starting is way more important than perfecting. Perfectionism often keeps us stuck, but God has already given us everything we need to begin. We’ll explore how Moses, with nothing but a staff in hand, and Bezalel, with his artistic abilities, both started with what God had already placed in them. Whether it’s a simple staff or a gift of craftsmanship, God used what they had to fulfill His purpose. This shows that God is the one who equips us with the skills and talents we need, and He’s ready to do miracles with whatever we bring to the table. Plus, we’ll dive into why taking action is the true “proof of concept” in our creative journey. If you’ve been waiting for everything to be flawless before you take action, this episode is for you! Tune in for some encouragement, practical tips, and a reminder that starting, even imperfectly, is what God truly honors. Ep. 4: Witchcraft in the Art Space!?
In this eye-opening episode, we dive deep into the subtle ways witchcraft and New Age practices have infiltrated the art space—and how they’re affecting Christian creatives. From crystals to "third eye" spirituality, the world has sold us the lie that these practices will unlock our creativity. But as Believers, we should know that our true creative inspiration comes from God alone, not from the enemy’s deception. Tune in as we discuss: 1️⃣ The dangers of seeking creative insight and inspiration through New Age practices. 2️⃣ Why it's crucial to do your research and read your Bible to stand firm in God's Word to avoid being deceived. If you're a Christian woman navigating the creative world, this episode is a must-listen! Whether it’s for cover art or a photoshoot, let’s be discerning and good stewards over the creativity God has blessed us with! The Bible is very clear about witchcraft/ new age and idolatry not being of God but unfortunately people often choose to read the Bible out of context to support their sin.* Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ChristCenteredCreativityPod Email: Christcenteredcreativitypod@gmail.com

It’s Not Your Creativity: Discover how God has called you to steward your creative gifts rather than claim ownership, and how His calling may be asking you to let go of how you used to create. 2. Embracing this Season of Creation: Learn how to accept God’s unique call on your creativity, even when it feels out of your comfort zone or qualifications. Trust that He will sustain and guide you through the process. 3.Consecration, Fasting, and Seeking Wisdom: Understand the importance of building a deeper relationship with God through prayer, fasting, and consecration to receive wisdom for your creativity and purpose. In this episode, I share my personal testimony of how God has been working in my creative life and how He called me to start this podcast.
